Are you serious? You're asking the people on FI how to bid the Delta PBS system now? Go to one of the classes or meet with one of the PBS experts in the crew rooms. Or go to the ALPA or company site where they have web tutorials on how to do it or read the gouge that's out now in Icrew.

Exactly! FI is for regional pilots to bitch about their jobs, blame mainline pilots for all their problems, and for the moderators to tell you that they're in charge!
If you're looking for any kind of intelligent help, you won't find it on FI!

1.) Log In
2.) Click on Bids ("Current")
3.)Click on the 1st bid Group (Select the "Add Here" line)
4.) Select "Add" (on the right hand side of thge page)
5.)Click the "Start Reserve" option, then click the "add" box
6.) Select your days Off, etc... from here it's similar to NWA's

I don't have PBS in front of me, so this may be off a little but you should be able to figure it out from here. Merry Christmas.

Just bid the lowest block hours and max days off. Since they pay is pathetic, might as well get the most time off.

Hope this helps.

Hi clown, I remember someone posting an old post of yours that showed you were applying to Delta. I think it's safe to say you got turned down! Wanna share your experience to help others rather than be so bitter?

I'm planning on applying at Delta after I retire from the AF if the majors aren't hiring. I may have to do something just to stay current. That's where Delta comes in.

Go to Deltanet Flight ops page, click on "Flight Ops Merger HQ." Look under "Training Aids" on right hand side of page for PBS Videos and presentations.

A friend of mine said there is a video on the website. Watch and bid.

Try CAL PBS when you get your degree in computer programming! :)

That is what I have been looking for, thanks. I was never free during the road shows.

Are you kidding me? Delta pilots agreed to PBS??? LMAO

Best thing since sliced bread. Unless you prefer sorting through 400+ lines to find one that's "just right for me -- sort of."

That's awsome, you can go from scrubbing urinals in the barracks to servicing lav's in some really nice airplanes!
Congrats on "coming out" crj567.

Do you need special software to bid a Song schedule? Or do those lines just fall from heaven and bless each individual Song pilot?

I won't let RJ guys buy me beer. It's like letting enlisted guys buy my drinks. So, the drinks are on me.

I agree - I used to find Tanker Clown's posts incredibly lame - but now I actually enjoy reading his posts. I find him highly entertaining.

Anyone use the Delta Easybid system? If so is it worth the money?

EasyBid is a good way to view your choices offline and actually move step by step through the bid logic. It saves you a ton of time online, since you enter everything offline and just upload when done. The Navtech Desktop software does the same thing, but I didn't find it as user friendly.

Additionally, EasyBid allows you to import the bid data after the schedules come out and analyze your results. It will show you what trips were available at your seniority level. It's useful for analyzing and improving your bidding strategy.

The software is free, but the data connection costs 9.95 per month for unlimited use. It's helpful if you plan to use the companion software EasySwap to work open time and swap trips. If you just want to bid and nothing else then the per kB plan only charges you for connect time. Expect to pay less than $5 per month if you just send bids and download the bid pack and schedule.

Hope this helps.

So are the jokes, career wise!

Boy, aren't you one to talk. You guys are just about the biggest RJ outfit around. I was in Salt Lake over the Thankgiving and there must have been a thousand Delta RJs. Let's not even talk compensation. While not a joke in 2000...it's definitally a joke now. But for an RJ outfit, I guess it's not bad. Better than Republic anyway....for now.

So how do you talk, with your mouth full?

You guys are just about the biggest RJ outfit around.

You mean you'd rather service the lav in the rj than a mainline jet? Why? What's the difference? Must be over that ******************** talk you are so fond of!

Maybe you should talk rj pay with the Skywest people, that's their territory. I'm sure they'd love to have a guy with such high flight time and experience such as you!

I know it's not better than the pay you recieve for spending most of your time on bended knee! It'll do, as it's still far more than you'll ever make in this career!

-Damn crj567, just damn!

Scope, you and Animaltale should get together and swap stories about your careers flying 99 seaters. As far as servicing a Skywest lav; it probably pays better than being a Delta FO.
