Sorry, transgender boy, I'd have no problem flying circles around you. That flight was on 9-12-01, when kids like you were on the ground. The B-2 is a very boring airplane-long hours cruising (too checklist intensive, for your simple mind)-but that's all you know about-straight and level with the autopilot on-boring. Don't speak about things of which you know nothing about. Oh wait, that's all you do. I have a sneaky feeling you might be my neighbor, he's always talking like you-out his butt. And if you're chasing hours, you gotta be in deep debt. And as far as teaching, you couldn't teach my 13 anything-who cares about 30 in 7, yep, the original General Lee got his a$$ whipped, and you carry on the tradition in fine fashion-what's that 'L' on your low sloped forehead. You can go back to your coloring book, now. Have fun at Trevi, rookie!

Oh snap! Puttin' the hurt on the General.

Thanks Spidey for all of your wonderful service, but now you are in the land of "flying busses", and you suk. Guess what Iceman, this is the airline business, and all we do is carry people or boxes around. No more formation flying (you were a crew chief anyway, Sarge), or dropping bombs. So, I don't know anything about that? Sure I do, I watch Wings on Cable, and that is all I need to know. You can try to slam me for all it is worth, and I think it is funny, but that still doesn't take away the fact that you really are the looozer. Rookie? I think not. You were a crew chief on 9-12, weren't you? Well, the military needs good crew chiefs no doubt. Keep flying BE1900s now, and someday you will graduate to a Dash-8 with Wsurf. That will be fun, forever. And, seriously, you do have a lot to learn, and I certainly don't have the time to teach you, nor the patience.

Bye Bye--General Lee

General, you're pathetic. You got bitch slapped, yet you still come back with your school playground insults. You have some nerve to insult serving members of our military. You are a typical Delta pilot. A big mouthed puss who thinks the world owes him a favor. Give it a rest and admit defeat sometime... you can't always be right. Then maybe more people here would respect you and your opinions.

Well said. Sometimes QOL and family outweigh the bigger airplane and slightly bigger pay check.

Bingo! Just think if I went to Delta...... wow, I might not have a life and end up with 10,000 (4.98 post a day?) on FlightInfo.

No Thanks...

guys like John Pennecamp will stay at ASA flying the ATR because he lacks the fortitude to actually try something new, while he stays "comfortable" staying in his "zone of tranquility." Kinda sad, actually, BUT SAFE. It's great when you know every ATC frequency ahead of time everywhere you go(NOT REALLY).

Bye Bye--General Lee

General, how out of touch are you? Have you seen a Mad dog schedule lately? WTF would I want to take a $50,000 a year pay cut to fly the same 5 leg four day trips I'm already flying? Is the Double Breasted Jacket really worth it? Oh, maybe I should do it for the pension... wait, never mind.

Joe: You disparage the General with the same language that you accuse him of using.

To restore the thread to its intent - there is no Deta pilot hiring freeze. The number for 2008 remains 625, although there are rumors of 1,000 and the increase in class size to 35 every two weeks seems to support the upper projection.

Might I suggest the pot is calling the kettle black, & suggest a short course of your own medicine.

Don't push me Fins. I already played the hypocrite card on you, and that hand is getting better every day.

Bottom line is this. If your happy with the money, Vactions, QOL etc. seniority at your airline then why should others (GL) be so worried about your job.

We have Captains at PDT making 90k a year (more if and when we get LTP).
They all have 5 Vaction Slots, add that too your sick time and your freaking working 8 months out of the year. No Great, but not bad either.

Out of the first 100 Pilots at PDT only about 10 took the mainline job at US Airways. That should tell you something right there.

So if your happy with the money and QOL then theres no need to leave.

Yes, I stand corrected. I repeated the half baked news story. My apologies. The hiring freeze is management only, not front line employees. Unlike the General, I can admit it when I'm wrong. That doesn't make me any less disappointed with you and your new found Delta Pilot attitude.

W Surf:

You are correct. I do not understand why folks can not get on the board, share ideas, and information, without it always turning into a game of one-up-manship and insults.

There are plenty of good reasons to stay at a Small Jet Provider, including pay and working conditions. There are reasons to go to a branded carrier too. What we need to do is work together so that there are ample justifications for any of us to want to call this line of work a profession.

You mean - humility, optimism, or used car salesman? Like many others, my airplane went on Trade a Plane, Truck on Trader, and guitars I can live without on Craigslist. My order for a new Corvette has become hours of shopping for low mileage ten year old Miata... thought I had one too until my wife said "neat a pink one." So much for decades old red paint. Even our Preacher (noticing 10% aint what it used to be) asked my wife if everything was OK. Not to worry, everything is good, great even!

and the Hangar Sale continues...anyone need a Propeller Govenor for a IO470, Late Model Bonanza wingtips with strobes, various Bonanza & Baron, Cessna Interior Trim parts, a Yamaha 12 string, or clean low mile, 04 SVT? Also have lots of lightly used lawn equipment now that Atlanta gets less rain than Phoenix. All airplane parts have yellow tags. :)

No I was referring to the preachy holier than thou posts. But sad to hear you've befallen hard times. I thought your other business would close the gap. At least first year pay only lasts a year.

More of a "fleet rationalization and realignment." Who needs 6 cars, twice that number of guitars, and a friend bought the airplane I was looking for and handed me the keys. When I sell my guitar that Buffet has a copy of - then get concerned.

Still, it is good to live comfortably within one's means and Spec racing a Miata looks like fun :)

Talk about thread creep. But if you see a good deal near JZP, PM me. We're looking.

I'll take a crew chief off a rubber dog sh1t carry any day. I know I can trust him with my life. As far as you knowing all you need to know about something by what you see on TV...........wait a minute, You really are just a little boy in a basement with a computer flight simulator aren't you!!!!!!!!!!
