How long after the merger was announced did you guys get passes on each others airlines.

We could ride on each other's airlines almost immediately after the merger was announced. But it was kind of a pain to do it because you had to jump through several hoops to do it and use a paper ticket. It wasn't seemless and electronic until about a year later.

Hmmm, I think it was 3-4 months after the transaction actually closed, which was about 6-7 months after it was announced.

Nu

Yep, but they were not of the same priority as you held on your carrier. It became truly seamless a few months ago with the changeover to all DAL flight numbers and ticket stock.

Nu Guy,
It was a couple of weeks after it was announced. It was like a ZEd fare ticket with no cost. I used it a lot being a CVG to DTW commuter. I think what you are talking about is when we could e-ticket on each others airline. That happend a couple of months after coporate closing and as ACL wrote it wasn't seamless until a couple of months ago.

.....somebody wants to go to Australia on United eh?
