Just "heard" that we are going forward with an order of 54 more 777LR's, 85 787's and 350 737-1000's (to replace all the md's and RJ's). We will be a "stand alone" carrier, hiring 8000 more in the next 5 years, company just offered to re-open contract with full pay restoration +20% and 4% per year cola.

QUICK......someone call the fire department!!

Here's a link to the CNBC video, featuring Ed Bastian:

Note artful dodging of the question about the 777 "software and wiring problems" e.g., British Air.

I think AA had a problem with one of their 777s also. Do both BA and AA have Rolls engines? Which kind does Delta have on their 777s?

Riiiiiiiiight.

General Electric

The 777-200LR ONLY comes with GE90-115 engines. The Big Dawg Engines. It is great that DAL is getting them, but they should have had 50-60 of these things on property already...they are waaaayyy behind UAL and AA in that respect!
