Heard from my US Airways guard buddy tonight that he was denied jumpseat tonight (7/14) out of PNS by a Delta Capt. It's just getting more pathetic day by day in this business.
There are two sides to every story. Spill the beans.TheDonger said:
One possible scenario: DAL capt. is busy, running behind, and knows his plane will be just below MTOW. In fact, he's in the process of communicating to rampers to offload a few bags to get him below. Weather's bad, so an alternate is required. Therefore, fuel load is higher than normal, and offloading is not an option. Captain feels bad for being so curt, but is too busy to offer an explanation.TheDonger said:The only person that did anything wrong was the DAL cap. The US Pilot was escorted down the jetway by the DAL agent. The agent handed the US guy's ID to the MD-80 Capt and he flat out said "no." They never talked or anything. You tell me where's the "other story" there. Everybody should stop this nonsense. It's highly unprofessional and uncalled for.

Tell your buddy to call ALPA jumpseat coordinator with date and flight number or call professional standards. This was done wasn't it? Or did you just run to the nearest computer to put it on Flightinfo.comj?
