Talked to a couple of rampers and a gate agent today at DFW and they said the talk around is that Delta wants back into DFW but mainly with RJs. They said the word is that Skywest and ASA was to start operating up again at almost the same capacity as before the pullout at the south satellite. They didn't know when though. Could this be possible?

It would make many ASA crews way to happy :D so it won't happen. It would be nice if it did.

Didn't we pull out of DFW and Love field b/c we were losing money there?

If you're referring to ASA, no. We can't lose money even when we try. For proof of this look into any and all of management's decisions over the last decade or so.

Actually Blucher, you are absolutely correct.... the contract we have guarantees we will make a profit.... that is the beauty of the CPA's with the mainlines... we get paid as long as we fly the trip.... This is why we fly empty airplanes 4 hours late in formation with another flight.. We are paid to fly the trip... empty or full, we make the same.

The problem lies when you lose the CPA... the actual flying itself is a money loser....

A few months ago I believe it was reported somewhere that CT & company were observed looking around the satelitte area in DFW. Might be.

They were probably lost or were looking for old load manifests and fuel slips because we ran out in ATL.

Was there (DFW) after midnight and saw a whole lot of activity around that area. No sure what was going on, seemed like they were renovating.

CT was there recently, he rode on our flight out there. As well as Whitehurst, rode on our flight coming back. For several weeks, there has been alot going on at the old satellite. Maybe the rat maze is coming back???

I've heard Mesa/Freedom, Pinnacle, and Comair would be going to DFW. Why would DL want to head back down there after closing shop a few years back? I truly hope ASA guys/gals get it. OH crews got bent over on the MCO/GSO deal so hopefully someone gets a good deal.

If it is coming back, it will NOT be ASA. I could see Pinnacle.....IF it were true!

Come on, everyone knows ASA was going to get the soon to be announced DFW base, but they had to take it from us because we weren't competetive. So we lost it before we got a chance to get it.
