Just a rumor about the MD90s General. Lets hope it comes true. Where are you getting 6 777s? As for the projected number required to get the 6% raise, our ALPA reps and the V.P. of Flt ops disagree with you. Lets try and be honest.

I thought Dixon said CVG MD88 guys were going to train also on the MD90, which would indicate to me something good could happen. Also, we are getting 6 777s---2 in March for Shanghai, and 4 in a cluster at the end of 08. Expect another 6 in 2009, for a total of 20. As far as the 6% raise, that is what I was told by an ER check airman. Was he wrong? Probably. Was I going to tell him he was full of sheeit? No. Would you? I was not at the lounge meeting or privy to any of the ALPA info. So, I just passed along what I actually heard on the line. If people take everything I say as gospel, then that is too bad. I listen and I post, and I am honest.

Bye Bye--General Lee

General,

Talk about Lubbock and Amarillo. Very interesting article about your CEO Richard Anderson in the link below. I tip my hat this guy.

Yep, he was raised in Amarillo and went to college at wait...............Texas Tech in LUBBOCK!!!! http://

Hey...lets not forget that Delta also flew into LBB and AMA at one time....seems they couldn't make any money there....They also had a large hub operation at DFW....couldn't compete there either....

777s..

My source says the BOD will be voting on whether to acquire a total of 20 777-200LRs over the next two years. Deliveries would be evened out too, since the current schedule is a training SNAFU waiting to happen. They will be deciding this very soon. If that happens, standby for more huge bids when the giant sucking sound comes from the top of the seniority list.

That will give us 28 777s by the end of 2010. I know thats not a huge number when compared to UAL or others, but it more than triples our fleet and will bring us up to around 150 heavy aircraft. Thats more than any other carrier.

Hope it happens....thats a lot of jobs at the top of the pay ladder.
