Coming back to DL and wanted to know more about reserve on the 757/767 Domestic and 76ER. Still live in Atlanta and sitting reserve does not bother me at all. Been commuting for 4 years so this will be a welcome change. Have many friends on the 88 and got alot of feedback on the QOL on that Airplane on reserve. Was hoping some of you guys could give me some info on Reserve on the 757/767 DOM and 76ER. May have to commute to JFK but at least I know there is light at the end of the tunnel as far as commuting. Glad to be back at Delta.

Happy Holidays

The reason the NYC ER is junior is because INTL reserve has eight 24 hour call out days. 8 days of the month you have to be vailable for 24 hours, and that could be noon to noon, which really means 16 days in NYC on reserve. If you live there, it could be great. Same with ATL 76ER reserve. Domestic reserve has 8 days of short call too, but 12 hours each day on call. I think that is right, but I haven't been on reserve for awhile. Good luck and welcome back.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Thanks General. Hopefully I will get ATL right off the bat. Brian Bolt thinks they will mix it up a bit in the first classes in January to clean up openings from the last AE. DOM or INTL does not matter. I just don't want to commute anymore. Thanks again

If you are coming back off furlough, you will hold a line in NYC on the ER.
I was hired earlier this year and I can hold a line, so I know that you would as well.

No furlough for me. I was a ground Instructor and took a leave to build my time. So I will be a new hire as far as Pilot seniority goes. What about ATL? Does anyone know about how long guys are sitting reserve on Domestic or the ER in ATL? Are the reserve guys being used alot? I know summer everyone gets used but just trying to get a feel for reserve life on the 75/76 versus the 88. Not a fan of the 88 as a first officer. Being here in ATL and having another business I am not so much concerned about moving up the chain as I am QOL on reserve on an airplane. I don't plan to move around much. I'd like to get on an airplane and stay on it for a while. I've seen some of the trip mixes on the 75/76 and like them much better than what I have seen on the 88. At the same token airline economics tells you that staffing will be leaner on an airplane that has higher operating and staffing costs than one thats lower so I want to know if guys are sitting on the 75/76 on reserve or are they flying alot. Thanks

I couldn't hold a line in December and could barely hold one in January as an August of 00 hire. Most junior line holder for January was the July 01 class (last before new hires).

guess I looked at it wrong. I know I will be able to in a few months.
How is that commute?
I will probably be bidding it the next AE or the one after.
