I wouldn't expect any announcement until after dinnertime on the east coast. They're still very much hard at work!

Nothing yet! The legalese that precedes the actual count is a very lengthy and detailed process. Hang on for a few more hours!

It passed

There was really never any doubt it wasn't going to pass... just by how much was the question.

I'm celebrating with a delicious Sam Adams Winter Lager. Of course, winter in Florida means it's a balmy 75 degrees right now, but hey, I can imagine it!

(And when I get back to work next week, it'll be clear how the rest of the world's living. :D )

Any comments from the peanut gallery? C'mon B19, I know you must have SOME anti-union spin on this one!;)

Tell us how the union is gonna wreck a good thing at NJA. Oh wait, I almost forgot, this whole IBB process was a COOPERATIVE effort between the union and company. Hmmmmm........maybe there might be something to this union thing after all.

Congrats to all the pilots this benefits. I'm one of the more senior guys at NJA, so not everything is all roses with this thing for me, but there are some SIGNIFICANT gains I'm getting, and I'm thrilled for the relief the new guys are getting on this one.
Way to go all!!

I am glad the new guys don't have to make there way to the old bases anymore. Congrats.........

The company actually started letting the domicile pilots start using the Crew Base system on 12/1. So I thought that was a nice gesture. Now that IBB is ratified, no more driving countless miles or hours to the five dumb-a-ciles and those hoping for a job here have a much wider choice of bases.

My thanks to all of those who helped count the over-2500 ballots in Gahanna today. :)

Pay is immediate. Basing started 12/1 (the original date before the vote was delayed). New schedules start 2/1.

What about those of us that just sent in our apps and were forced to mark down one or more of the 5 domiciles? I guess that was for nothing now and they won't be considering that at interview time? Also, I live in BHM which will be one of the "gateways". What exactly does that mean anyway?

Lot's of questions. Thanks for any help!
