Who care when the lines come out when there are less and less of them each month! As much flying in the fall than the summer!!! HA!!! Just why is it that we recalled, upgraded and hired now.....when the flying decreases by 20%???? We made it through summer with 340 lines and 75 or so reserves, to then bring everyone back and hire now that over 30% of the group are on reserve! I just don't get that. Lets not forget that in '09 there were over 400 lines on the 200. Yes, some of that went to IAD, but there is still a loss. Where has the flying gone, and why hire and upgrade now that the flying is diappearing. At this rate, these Einsteins will go, oops....we hired too many and over reacted to the summer and are so fat again we have to furlough!

How many lines next month? 280 - with 130 on reserve? Soon half the group will be on reserve.

I KEEP asking, and NOBODY KNOWS. What keeps the company from creating 50 lines and putting 350 on reserve? Along with the new ACARS notification rules/Autodialer and 350 reserve pilots that would sure be some awesome flexibility for CS.. coincidence? I think that could be the end goal here.

They are testing EVERY month to see where the threshold for the pilot group is. Watch....next month will be 250 lines 150 reserves.

The answer I got from the union was Uhhhhhhhhhh........I dunno.....I guess they could if they wanted.......

PS. I remember when ATL had 500 lines on the 50

The ONLY protection we have is the stipulation that the company can only hold back a certain percentage of the flying. OUR UNION did an "investigation" and concluded that they weren't holding back more than they are allowed. They OBVIOUSLY ARE.

Does anybody else wonder why our reps lied to us?

Is the rumor true that our reps got a nice raise when we voted in PBS?

Remember when they got caught double dipping by dropping pairings for "union business" and then picking up trips out of open time? Maybe the company is turning a blind eye to this.

Anybody know the process to start a recall?

-Yes, they did get a raise.. 6 hrs for union work per day (you didn't hear a word about that at the roadshow, did you?) I have even heard that real shady things have been happening with these credits.

Interesting how fast everyone has gotten on the same page lately... Even some of our reps who used to really fight for us. I would bet we would uncover some interesting info if we followed these credit dollars.

-Truth is, we are in big trouble. There is no voice for those of us who are unhappy-any voice of dissent is quickly silenced. This is the worst I have ever seen it. I believe that anyone who doesn't "pull the line" real hard for our "efficiency" and "cost-effectiveness" is bought off or kicked out. Our union is enabling the company to stomp all over our QOL like I never would have imagined.... When is the last time our guys drew a "line in the sand" about anything?

-Maybe XJET people will drive a stake through the heart of the abomination our local has become! It will be nice to see some of our ALPA royalty to join us in the suck they created.

I thought Dec was supposed to have the same amount of flying as Jul? I know some of the lines went to IAD but 290 in ATL?!? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why I was telling people all summer to stop complaining about too much flying. Not enough flying is a WAY worse situation!!!!!!

Yep!

But, also, dont forget that while more and more are sitting on reserve with less flying to cover - back to MMG - the chosen 290 get to pick up open time at 200%!!! More for them, less for you.

That will end soon.

I guess if you're a 200 RSV, just enjoy a lot of downtime/freetime. This sort of thing happens every year you guys act as though it's the first time. They staff (barely) for summer, are overstaffed for winter as schedules drop down, and each year, you get a bunch of surprised looks and comments.

Except this year we've been told to expect summer flying levels, in the winter. The surprise this year was that, what we've been told to expect, didn't happen.

Not to mention that there are 61 lines for IAD and only 67 first officers. Looks like another month of ATL crews getting TDYed to IAD to cover reserve, while pilots who are junior to us hold lines.

So if you didn't "expect" this, it would have made it all better for you? I'd rather be on reserve in December NOT working hardly at all than working 4 days over weekends and 6 days on with integration.

In any case, the 700 is where all the flying went this winter apparently.

I excepted, or rather hoped to have a paycheck similar to what I earned in July. As a commuter I'd rather work than wait, even in December. I hope the flying did indeed go to the 700, rather than our competitors. My biggest concern is that we missed out on it all together.

So again......why call back, hire and upgrade now, after the busy time for the time when it is known to be slow???? Why run extemely thin, to turn around when it gets slow to be very fat? Are we in the backwards bizarro world here, or what? Who the hell is steering this ship? Do these clowns have a flight plan? Hey....let's hire a bunch of guys now that we are done being busy so they can all sit around and do nothing!!!! Bright idea!

you should always be sitting around more during winter. Sounds like you guys are finally properly staffed on the 50, only they are a few months off. Put up with having a break for one season and then enjoy being better staffed during the upcoming summer, instead of butt raped like we were last summer.

Bitch. And. Moan. If, tomorrow, it started raining vaginas you guys would be on flightinfo complaining about the poor visibility.

True. No reason to complain. Looking forward to becoming the first all reserve regional.

Things are GREAT!

I thought Scott Hall was going to be fired. Do you guys think John Popo is doing this to us. It's Holt, Tutt, and Hall. You ladies just keep licking their boots! Drooling for what hall has to say at a dumbnss ground school. Come on they are taking advantage of us and many don't care, at least ALPA anyway.
