Not to hijack but, I hate WHITE....intersection. They need another one, speaking of which; why won't they let you file over WAVEY going out of TEB. It is allowed @ JFK and HPN

Because of airspace constraints and volume of traffic. WAVEY is JFK's major SE departure fix. All traffic going South uses WAVEY off JFK, which is quite a bit of traffic. A lot of FLorida traffic from LGA and HPN also use WAVEY. FRG uses it as well. To add TEB would oversaturate WAVEY as is there is ususally 15-25 miles in trail restrictions for it too. Furtrhermore getting a jet from TEB to WAVEY on a consistent basis would be chaos because of LGA arrivals and departures, JFK arrivals and departures, etc. It happens sometimes, but its usually a big production to make it work.

Hey ATC it's all magic to me how you guys do it. As long as you continue to keep the metal parts from clanking into each other, I guess we have to say "Good Job" no matter how long it takes.

When it works, it works great! When it doesn't work you are at 190kts, 1000-1200(AGL), VFR in New York airspace. Helicopters to MMU. GA between TEB/EWR/MMU/& CDW. Day or Night with visibility as low as 3 miles. Expect IFR means exactly that and on some occasions you can make it half way to MMU before they call you back. Do you carry VFR charts handy? Find the LOST COMM portion for Dalton Departure, if you do please post it. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying I've done it enough times to not except unless it is an emergency for me!

You can takeoff Runway 15 at Aspen(with written permission from the airport manager) to get you out quicker. I don't recommend that one either!

Good Luck!!
