I know that Yahoo aviation finance etc. says 9%, but that doesn't include the 4.5% raise we were going to get next May that we would give up also. We also threw in other pay extras like International pay, Night pay for red-eyes, and Per Diem cuts that are tied in with the Flight Attendants which can really add up. Dalpa also will extend the current cap if Delta actually expands(they said they were adding back up to 10% capacity next year), which hopefully will help us reach the pre-9-11 RPM levels faster so we can recall some of the 1060. Dalpa did say in the memo that this was the offer, and that they weren't going to continue meeting or that this was only the "middle" and there was plenty of room to negotiate more up or down. If they do not like it, then they can wait until our next contract talks which will finally end in 2007. The economy is getting better, and our pension problems or gap is lessening due to the rising stockmarket and interest rates. Yes, we have a debt problem. And, we have offered to be a PART of the solution. Dalpa has people looking at these problems and watching them very carefully.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

Thank you for posting that. I guess I was alittle off when I said they would not meet again to narrow it down alittle. There is room for some negotiations, but not on certain things. Dalpa said it will not give up the no furlough clause, and I doubt they would go much higher on the paycuts, although maybe a % point or two. It will be interesting.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

PS: What is career protection within the Delta/DCI brand?

J4J for furloughs???

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

But what does "Career protection within Delta/DCI brand" on the negotiator's notepad mean?

J4J's? Opening section 1, are we? Well hopefully you can help get those airplanes at a wholly owned, because flying for Mesa, or Chautauqua's, going to s u c k.

Fins,

I don't know what it means. All Dalpa gave us was that memo with the proposals from each side. I was just as miffed as you are. You are right about one thing, Delta doesn't have the extra cash to buy you guys some of the 45 new RJs unless you take large cuts, so you are probably right saying that MESA and Chataqua or Skywest will most likely get an offer. I do like that part about any future bonuses in management have to have pilot bonuses also included. It is only fair------and they shouldn't get bonuses just because we get paycuts. It will be interesting.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

Michael707767,

You may be right, but I don't think 20%, I bet 15% with the 4.5% raise on top of that. So, that would be 15% off today's wages. That will also probably cause many more retirments---since our retirement is based off of our "best three years"--not the last three years. So, their best three years have already gone by.( a lot of the current senior pilots that did not early out retire on Sept 1st have not had any bumps or paycuts throughout this whole downturn since 9-11) A 15% paycut might be their ticket out of town---to a better life on the golf course in Naples, FL.

Bye Bye--General Lee  ;)

Im willing to give tours of all 83 golf courses in Naples. Its a great place to live.
