I know that Yahoo aviation finance etc. says 9%, but that doesn't include the 4.5% raise we were going to get next May that we would give up also. We also threw in other pay extras like International pay, Night pay for red-eyes, and Per Diem cuts that are tied in with the Flight Attendants which can really add up. Dalpa also will extend the current cap if Delta actually expands(they said they were adding back up to 10% capacity next year), which hopefully will help us reach the pre-9-11 RPM levels faster so we can recall some of the 1060. Dalpa did say in the memo that this was the offer, and that they weren't going to continue meeting or that this was only the "middle" and there was plenty of room to negotiate more up or down. If they do not like it, then they can wait until our next contract talks which will finally end in 2007. The economy is getting better, and our pension problems or gap is lessening due to the rising stockmarket and interest rates. Yes, we have a debt problem. And, we have offered to be a PART of the solution. Dalpa has people looking at these problems and watching them very carefully.
