I read several reports about this news topic on different medias. How sad that mergers have all come down to making money for the people involved in the merger - nothing else - just money for those pushing the merger. Pardus Capital Management == Greed.

The flying public - which has never been mentioned in any of the news stories - how will it be for them?

And will a UAL-DAL merger even be approved by the Government?

Probably not, but mission accomplished by the hedge fund managers today.

Speculation of United-Delta Combination Drives Airline Shares Higher

All they need to do is spark the rumor and they make millions on the speculation.

So how would the tremendous egos at Delta handle a 3 or 4:1 integration with UAL. As terrible as it would be for the good guys at Delta, it would just be hilarious to watch the General squirm and have to go back to domestic service on the MD-80.

What's the matter, you didn't get an interview. Don't give up. Keep trying.

As FDJ2 suggested let's do the math:

Pardus owns 5.6 mill shares of UAL, that went up 67 cents, for a profit of 3.752 mill

Pardus owns 7 mill shares of delta, wich went up 77 cents, for a profit of 5.39 mill

total paper profit for spreading this false rumor is over 9 mill, and even if some of those paper gains pull back, a big portion will remain, as a lot of investors now really think the big C is on the way.

I thought they had MD-88s and 90s.

btw, how much was your penile enlargement procedure? I believe Tanker Clown is interested. he's talking to some doctor in china about it right now.

What's wrong 406? Did your upgrade get extended another decade? Maybe you should run over to UAL and get in a new hire class real quick so you can be the General's Capt on the 88 afther the dust settles.

BTW, my doctor is in Mexico not China. He helps me keep the Generals and 737 Pylt's wives loaded up on the Spanish Fly.

Naw see you got it all wrong, didn't get the interview because I didn't apply, yes I know I am one of the few, but you guys really make me sick. I couldn't look myself in the mirror if I attempted to work for Delta because for the last four years I have seen how the majority of you folks act, and I just don't think I could be happy flying with such arrogant asses. Now let me clarify, I have met some really great Delta guys and gals, that are straight up good people, but most I have met, have been asses. I think most of the pilots on this board will agree.

What are you curious? Do you want the Docs number? Can't help you there bro, God given talent here. No its not the biggest, but I did like the sign so I figured I would stick it up and see how long it took a fag to call me out about to find out how big it was. Don't worry man we won't tell your wife, you can come out on flight info. What happens on flight info, stays on flight info.

them's mighty big words. where did you say you're working now? let us know when you get in the big time. until then, you're just a frustrated wanna-be with zero credibility.

Tanker Clown's dog in this fight is the fact that probably NEITHER airline hired him and what smarts the most is that all of his squadron buds are running off to new-hire class while he still barks commands to his E-5 nav begging him to keep looking for the coordinates to orbit somewhere near the Jiwani VOR in Pakistan.

It's OK Clown, Delta will give you another shot, now go out there and orbit like you mean it!!!

Mergermania...and you thought age 65 was a career killer, wait until seniority integration with fences and other restrictions. After the Wall St. boys rape and steal everything, they will leave you the carcas to fight over. Good luck.

Big time huh? Making less than Airtran to fly similar equipment is hardly big time.

Lumberg, what you don't know can just about fill up the universe. First of all, the tanker has no nav. Second of all, I have a while before I retire, so I have not been turned down by Delta. Finally, what makes you think I would want to work at DAL? Crumby work rules, pay cuts....man...sounds like fun.

I work with reservists that are Delta guys. A young pilot in my squadron asked one of them if he'd help him get on at Delta and the Delta guy said, "I'd have to ask you to get your head examined first. Why would you want to work here."

Sorry to burst your bubble bro. A decade ago, you were the cat's meow...now you are a stepping stone to FedEx, UPS, and SWA. Sorry man. That's the facts. Perhaps if you stand up for yourselves and get your money back (which I think you are more than entitled to) then maybe you'll be the SWA of the 121 carriers. But for now, I'll just wait until I retire. If I can't get on at SWA, then I'll collect a paycheck at Delta until I can get the big money at one of the major players.

Good luck with the merger. Don't let them staple you.
