This is no joke. A DAL 76 driver friend of mine told me of having to deal with an irate passenger halfwawy across the pond.

What is DAL thinking????

Probably 2 things --- 1) That its passengers are of average intelligence (apparently they're wrong - based on your report); and 2) That Delta is an airline, not a church.

Personally I'd prefer "Luscious Lesbos IV."

Surplus,

This is obviously a controversial movie, and a viewer can't simply get up and walk out if they don't like it.

Why are they showing any "R" rated films, when there are tons of small kids on board.

I'm not a prude (if you knew me, you would certainly agree), I just think it's bad business to show a movie that knowingly offends some passengers. IMHO.

I've never flown Delta across the pond. Do they force the passengers to watch and listen to a movie?

Besides, it's just a movie. Didn't they show "The Passion"? (Just asking, I don't know). Do you think they will show The Da Vinci Code when its out?

Protesting a movie that you don't have to watch reminds me of those nutcases that are protesting at the funerals of our soldiers because they are fighting in Iraq "in defense of gays". They're a bunch of crazies.

This country has a lot more important stuff to worry about than who's querr and who isn't. JMO

I agree with what you are saying, especially re: the idiots protesting at soldiers funerals.

I just would have thought DAL would like to steer clear of controversy.

Did Michelle Burns do a movie before she left?

Don't you think Delta has gone a little far out in promoting the gay life already with the funding of an event for the author of "Secrets of a Gay Marine Porn Star" and Youth Pride? Brokeback Mountain was even a little far out for the Academy.

There is nothing wrong with a Company headquartered in the Bible Belt being a little conservative. Remember how Delta used to be run, back when it made money? Delta should focus on turning a profit and quit with the controversial gay rights agenda. Delta has more important wars to fight.

Perhaps Delta should ask, "What would C.E. Woolman do?" Of course the instant answer would be to fire most of the people running Delta today.

I have a problem with it if it is cabin wide, if it is on the PTV's who cares. Delta has showed edited versions of several R movies in the past.
