This is my decision. Both have bases that would work for me, so quality of life is not my biggest concern. With hiring stopping at Delta and the more junior pilot group I will be at the bottom for a long time... USAirways has the weaker contract(s) and bickering unions. Which is the better gamble?

If you were going to consider LCC I would highly recommend you wait until the ALPA/usapa vote results are announced next month. If usapa wins it will be a messy couple years. However, if ALPA wins there is a good chance things at the company might move in the right direction. The East, at that point, may have hopefully used their last bullet (assuming it was not left behind in a 757) leaving them only with the option of signing a better contract and moving forward. That might actually happen and give people in your situation a reason to consider it. In the end it is the same as walking into a casino and asking if you should play craps or blackjack.

US Airways has changed a lot since I was there, but I left them for Delta and never regretted it one bit, FWIW.
