2 crews per Saab?

Wow... I didn't realize we only had 64 pilots (that's 16 airplanes in service, not counting the spares). Guess I'd better check my seniority list, because that would make me an FO.

Hey! We have about twice that many pilots!

Sorry to confuse a good story with some facts.

You're close, but the May list only shows 120 pilots, not 130. And don't count the spares - there aren't any! Thats why we canc flights practically daily. When the last a/c returns with the last paint job then possibly we might have 1 spare, for a little while that is.

The May list doesn't show the people who were not finished with IOE as of the time the bid packet was printed, ben (three weeks ago). Most of them, if not all of them, are online now and that puts us closer to 130 than 120. In any case, I said "about" twice as many as 64, not 130 in specific.

As for spares, the reason we don't seem to have them is that they are being rotated in and out for paint, as you mentioned.

Just wondering, that since crude oil went down below $40 a barrel will the RJ's come? Thought these words might have been said by the CEO a while back??

AHH, below $40? really? From CNBC today

"After gapping higher at the open on optimism that Saudi Arabia is committed to raising its crude oil output by 8% at the June 3 OPEC meeting, the market lost its traction as participants speculated that the potentially increased supply of the commodity would be insufficient to meet the rising demand... As a result, the price of crude oil spiked to a new multi-year high of $41.82/bbl, while the market backed off its opening highs..."

The high price of oil screws the economy and all of us.

As one of the check airman has been saying for weeks...The jets will be here August 8th, 12:30 am - 1:00 am. If nobody is there to sign for them, they are getting sent back.
