ERJ's and CRJ's should not be allowed to fly anything over 90 mins !!!

(I just need to vent a little)

As long as they pay pilots those salaries, they will be crossing the pond someday.

No sh*t guys...

Omaha -- EWR on a ERJ ?? gimme a break!!!
MEM/MSP- DEN on a CRJ instead of a mainline A320... You gotta be kidding me.

Well, it would be one thing if the routes you guys are talking about were ONLY flown by RJ's, but I think in almost all cases you will find that the RJ is merely supplementing mainline service with additional frequencies.

IAH-ORD for instance, you get 8 or 9 mainline 737's everday and two or three RJ's thrown in between.

I did YYZ - IAH last week. Blocked at 3:39

Before that I did DCA - IAH and CLE - AUS....

It's not getting any better.

I thought I was pretty much immune to it, but it hit me with a vengenace recently. Blocked 4:41 to get from EWR to OKC last week bucking a 170 knot roadblock. I was ready to break the FMS screens after a few too many glances at the Progress page. However as I pointed out the people during the greeting PA, it was the fastest and only direct way from the New York Metropolitan area to OKC. They all got home alot earlier that night then by taking mainline. That is a market for an RJ regardless of the leg length. Where it does not belong is connecting cities with a metro area well over a million people like IAH-ORD.

As far as Im concerned ( aside from the fellow aviators and people in the industry) these customers do not deserve anything else until they pay for it. If they don like it, they can drive their Ford escort the 700 miles and pay twice as much.:crying:
These problems stem from the customer paying 1980s prices, with fuel prices and airport taxes at an all time high. Who are the MORONS running this industry?:smash:

ATL to St. Croix.....4 hrs block each way. 70 seater day line here at ASA. Good stuff. Starting in June, we're doing roundtrips to Puerto Rico.

What's insane is when they keep 737's or whatever on routes, regardless of where points A & B are, that only have pax loads of 50-70. That's when you put the RJ on the route and use the 737 somewhere else where it can be more utilized.

I'm with TCBKING on this one. You get what you pay for! PERIOD!

I would rather fly in a Beech 1900 than a CRJ or ERJ. Just give me my earplugs and a vacant Row 9. And in a pinch, leather Jepp binders for a pillow.

Well, until I have to take a dump, that is.

No Lav? No Problem!

Shoot... I wish they would limit BE1900 flying to 90 mins!

:puke:

I just did ewr - clt then on to iah for a sercurity breach layover to 5 pm then on to RIC. We had a total block time of 830. Its first off not safe and i dont get paid enough to be sitting in a plane where i dont have enough room to strech my legs.

after sitting in a middle seat for 4 hours yesterday on my commute, and not enjoying it a whole lot even though it was free for me, I would really have been "happy" if I was a paying pax and shelled out $150 for it. no middle seat on the erj.

as far as ewr to oma... what do you think? 50 seats is more then enough for that city pair (I work that flight, I know it's rarely full) so they aren't gonna put a 73 on it anytime soon... should they pull it, so people have to go oma-iah-ewr-???

If the rjdc gets their way, the only aircraft flying less than 6 hour legs will be RJ's. I can't wait until the day these guys figure out that scope clauses were not their enemy. oh well, the damage has been accomplished through the whipsaw.

I'm sitting in AUS right now after blocking 4: 02 last night to get here from DTW. It was miserable for me with my nice sheep-skin covered seats up front, so I can't imagine how bad it was for the peope stuck in those cramped up seats in the back that have very little padding. I also had BOS-MEM this month, and I'm about to do MEM-DEN later today. Absolutely ridiculous, especially when the flights are all oversold by quite a bit. What's really absurd is that we now have 44-seat CRJs going hub-to-hub.
