Now explain why in 1987, when Delta,Eastern,PSA, USAIR, Piedmont,Pan Am,Northwest,TWA,American,Continental,United,Southwest,were all hiring record numbers of pilots and even if you were a 500 hour,barely breathing,45 year old, community college graduate you could at least get an interview, if not hired, were YOU, the God King of Aviation, working at a Commuter!!!! Funny how NO SWA pilots have ever acknowledged knowing him, much less him working for SWA. There are several of us who think EXACTLY like you do. Of course, he posts that we all must be the same person posting under different names. He really is a sad, pathetic excuse for a human.

I used to think pilots were incredibly smart and funny-as-hell. Congratulations for proving me wrong.....

Maybe you don't like Vicky because she kicked your ass somewhere along the line.

No, but almost gave her a heart attack once. She had a habit of smacking F/O's hands if they went to move the gear lever to the "off" position after takeoff. Drove all the F/O's crazy, especially the new guys... So one day we were taking off out of Phoenix and after I reached up to put the gear handle in the "off" position knowing full well what's coming, after she reached over and smacked my hand, I put the Landing Gear down.....she got this horrified look on her face and screamed "what did you do that for!!?".......I said, "Well Miss Vicky.....when I was at Eastern, when ever the Captain smacked your hand, that meant he wanted you to put the gear down.....I just thought maybe your Daddy was an Eastern Captain and taught you that.....". Her head was about to explode...she was speechless the rest of the trip...thank god...

The moral of that story is she never smacked another F/O's hand again

In several ways you just defined yourself as a very weak pilot lacking in common sense, CRM skills and situational awareness. What an incredibly stupid and self centered way to make a point in the cockpit. There are people sitting behind you dude that didn't pay for you to play your little games,
At my airline you would have been fired for doing something that stupid.

BTW that will be rationalized away by Sascha, he simply won't get it. But there are all levels of pilots on this board and many just starting their careers.
For you guys just know that most pilots are not that stupid (deliberately causing confusion during a critical phase of flight and adversely affecting the performance of a an airplane filled with passengers) and most airlines would not tolerate that kind of behavior.

Of course, by pointing out the facts, you've become a "hater" just like me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again (and again and again and again).

I've been at SW for over 16 years, and have never, as in not once, paid SWA one dime for any training. Period. In fact, I've been paid (very well) for every bit of my training, including new hire.

Requiring a type rating that you don't have to pay for isn't PFT. It's no different than requiring an ATP, MEL etc. You can pay for the type, but it is not required, you just have to have it.

Even a moron can see that it is quite different from a"classic pft" outfit like Valuejet, Kiwi, Shuttle America, Gulfstream, Comair etc. where a barely qualified, low time pilot actually pays the company to get a ridiculously low paying job, so they can gain experience they don't have so they can go get a real job, like SW. Or worse, they were scabs and had no other options :cough: valujet :cough: but to write a check for a job.

FWIW, my type pays for itself roughly every 2 weeks. Heck, the premium trip I just did paid for it in 3 days. If that's PFT, I'll take it!
