Has anyone successfully transitioned from machine to oral device?

A lot of sleep centers claim the oral devices are good alternatives to CPAP/BiPAP. These are custom-made devices with minute adjustability that move the lower jaw forward to open the airway.

The FAA will allow them as long as a sleep study can be done to show that it is working and you can attest to not having any symptoms of the disorder, i.e. no daytime sleepiness, fatigue etc...

Thanks....

Best of luck to you.
I don't do well with foreign objects in my mouth at night.
Maybe the memory of molds being made when I was a kid for fluoride treatments.
Ordered the appliance you see on the late night infomercial for $75.
Gagged once it was inside my mouth, returned for full refund.

Many people can live with retainers, braces and other things in their mouths.

Not I, so good luck. Be interested in finding out if that works for you, and good luck.
PS still hate the Autopap and mask, but put up with it for the job. (It has helped with daytime drowsiness!)
