There's unity:
The top third is united in screwing everyone else for their own benefit...

If a newhire gets furloughed after 6 months and then gets called back 6 months later will he/she come back to 1st or 2nd year pay?

Furloughees do not accrue longevity so they will come back to whatever pay scale they were on when their furlough becomes effective. And if they are still in their probie year they will have the remaining months of probation to complete as well.
 
I haven't even read this thread but I figured if it's more than two pages, it's degenerated into a $h!t-slinging contest about either USAPA or Age 65.
