Hi; Can anyone tell me how the reserve system at Continental works as well as how long can one expect to be on reserve (depending on equipment)?
Thanks.

Depends on what equipment you get in class. The 757/767 around 6 to 9 months while the 737 guys are looking around 3 to 6 months. As the Chief pilot in IAH told us yesterday, they are hurting for F/O's so reserves are flying around 50 hours per month.

How long would it take to bid IAH? Also how senior is the 76?

For Houston, unknown. But with all the early and mandatory retirements from now and the next few years and new aircraft coming, it could be at anytime.
