"Effective with the issuance of this bulletin, lineholder pilots mentioned above who have vacation days during the August bid period can call Crew Scheduling to ask that any or all of their vacation days during August be removed from their lines, clearing their schedule on those days. Once cleared, the lineholder would be free to do anything any other lineholder would be able to do -- pick-up open time, place himself on voluntary junior manning, etc."
