Are the GUM assignments voluntary or purely based on your drop in each class? Just curious. Looking forward to a trip to IAH shortly...

Usually the bottom 6 to 8 folks are non-vol. However, with the pay cuts more junior people seem to be giving it a go. As was said earlier, the most junior position on this bid did not go to Guam, it went to the 777.

Actually, there were two vacancies on the bid for EWR 777 FO. This means that two new hires would get those two spots, until the next bid is run in June or they are trained, whichever comes first.

The most junior captain will be on the 737 in EWR with a hire date of March 1998.

Bottom CA at AA is about Feb 1990 at LGA on S80.

Late summer 1990 gets you about 40 guys junior to you as a 777I FO at JFK and ORD.

yippee:rolleyes:

Has CAL determined how seniority will be assigned within each new class?
