No long and short...just short. It's a 2 hour call out unless you are on Airport Ready Reserve. That is a 15 minute to the gate call and you are on call for 8 hours.

They're potentially about to lose up to 25% of they're pilot group every year as hiring starts at DAL. You wont see that kinda movement at any other regional these days. Also the majority of their FO's are qualified to apply to other better jobs as they become available thus increasing the possible attrition numbers.

time will tell

Why do you consider it a mainline aircraft? Seriously? What makes it better than any other RJ? It's still an RJ.

What difference does it make? The only thing that makes one airplane "better" than another, in my opinion, is pay. Given that definition, many Citations are "better" airplanes than CRJs, ERJs, E170s, or even B737s.

Regional Jet is a marketing term. In the true sense of the term, there really aren't "Regional Airlines" anymore, just Contract Carriers. At Compass I've seen both oceans, Mexico, and parts of Canada in the winter that I'm not still not comfortable discussing. Many other "regional" pilots can say the same thing. What "region" is that? North America?

Trying to define the distinction between "regional" and "mainline" aircraft is pointless. There are aircraft that are flown by brand name companies and there are aircraft that are flown (for less) at contract carriers. It's quite simple and not worth getting wrapped around the axle about.

Virtually zero. Anything is possible but it makes perfect business sense for them to keep it. The revolt that would occur at Compass if it was cancelled would be huge. 95% of the people who are there, came there for the chance to flow someday.

you guys still make $24 first year pay or has it increased since posted on apc?

24/34 as an FO for a 90 seater isnt much.

Payscale effective 6/1/10

FO Step 1. 24.24, Step 2. 35.22, Step 3. 37.47
