And while I am here, just wanted to give a shout out to my homeboy Henry at Commutair. I just found out you lurk here once in a while. Miss ya buddy!

You can't honestly expect me to believe that the Director of Operations of a regional airline wastes his time reading the flightinfo forums. Really now.

Ha, 'Director of Operations for a regional airline", you make it sound so high and mighty. We're talking about COMMUTAIR here!

Believe what you want, he's made mention of reading this forum before.

I've walked into several offices up there and seen this message board up on their computer screens. So it's not really a surprise to me that they're reading it. I've known it for years now.

I guess a better question is, why are you guys reading it? It's a bitch board; always has been. Just gives the pilots something to do while commuting to yet another domicile.

This thread is full of blatant references to various Commutair pilots by name, which I would think would be a forum no-no.

I'm not sure what's more sad: the fact that people are doing it, or the fact that these individuals are so hated by so many people that they wound up on this board...some even with a username created based on their nickname. You think they'd get the message, eh?

Don't know what impression you got, but the folks I mentioned I really liked. My captain IOE was a lot of fun.

wsurf asked if anything was new... well.....

as if our QOL couldn't get any crappier, airport ready reserve is just around the corner....... good times....

Yes, I would like to give a personal thank you to the person they mentioned in the post regarding the ready reserve. It's going to be fun to wake up to sit in the airport at 5 am

Is the female Capt that grabbed a screw driver and tried to fix the cowling in front of the feds and then flew off without calling maintenance still there?

Is Scrappin' Ice off the wings with your company ID still the preferred method of De-icing at the Poughkeepsie Airport?

Those were the days!!!!!

I did an ovrenight in CVG with the Sherwinator that I'll never forget. About 15 minutes after closing the door to my room I hear screaming and cussing coming from his room. The next morning I find out he found trash in his overnight bag (empty dorito bag and 2 soda cans). Then he starts yelling at me because I could'nt stop laughing...so worth it though!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Was that before or after the CLE rampies sent his bag to Honolulu for being such a jackass to them?

Dash 8s

I think I saw one of the Commutair Dash 8s at HPN recently. Nice looking bird. Are they "relatively" well equipped (yeah, I know they are ancient)? EFIS? Where did they come from?

How do you like flying the Dashers after flying the 1900s?

They are ten years old, they have a heads up display, EFIS, Dual FMS and all the standard crap minus an APU. They came from Horizon.

I would trade in the EFIS, Dual FMS and Heads Up Display for a freaking APU anyday!!!!

I'm going to miss the baby dash. At Horizon we use our own design cooling cart. Its basically an outdoor a/c unit with ducting that routs up to the ext fan. Of course I'm sure Horizon would be willing to sell them after the last Dash leaves the property.

What's upgrade time like right now? Are the 1900's leaving property yet?

It's at two years right now but the next upgrade class in the beech would have people at the one year point. That's if another upgrade in the beech happens. The first beech is to leave this month. Most likely from here on out it will be transitions to the dash.

The Beeches haven't left yet. There is only one in PLB, but the rest are in CLE. I think the first one leaves this month and then one a month thereafter.
