Such is the ignorance of the owner.
At last a bit of humor amongs all this doom and gloom. Here is a rumor I picked up yesterday. I am reluctant to post it becuase I do not want to be viewed as lending credence to it's actually taking place. I am just passing this along. Rumors abound and I have even heard a version of this one before, so...
We supposedly hear Sept. 1, Wednesday... the "big announcement" that we are sold and the buyer only wants 50 of our planes. This obviously brings up the question will the pilots (basically 500, only half of the list) go with the planes? If... IF this is true, than I imagine it is a moot point for most of us posting on here as we will be on the street either way.
Again, I hear that this is "solid." But, so were the other rumors and announcement dates that never come to pass. One thing is for sure, Delta is trying to sell Comair. How do I know? Because Richard Andersen said and I quote, "we want to sell Comair."
But to be slightly positive, this announcement in a way would not surprise me at all and I am still holding out for an announcement that no one has even talked about yet.... like Comair was bought with stimulus money and will crop dust tobacco fields in Kentucky. Time will tell.
Rumor about bad news tomorrow. A guy named playn over at APC spoke with Comair's President. It ain't looking good folks.![]()
Steve B will be annoucing his departure on Sept 10th.
Thats the good news.
More bad stuff to follow.
Nope, farewell dinner means he's leaving.
Is this as accurate as you predicting mike piper was coming back?
Spoke to him the other day, he was laughing about that fact.
Nope, farewell dinner means he's leaving.
and the f/as are taking "Legendary Performance" classes. That's a freaking joke. About giving the best customer service in the world on the 70/90 in first class. I guess it's good for the dinosaurs who have been here forever.
The proper term is "fossils" or, in the case of the FAs, "fossilized remains".
Haa, I stand corrected. At Mainline Continental they called old f/as dinosaurs.

Thanks alot Delta. GO **** Your self. Most of this pilot group is a bunch of really good pilots and really good guys!
Not 100% sure but I believe S. Briner made an emotional and desperate pitch to Delta for preferential hiring or preferential interviews for our pilots because of the position "they" have put us in. The answer was a flat out NO.
However, even after the sale of Compass and Mesaba, all Compass pilots will be able to flow up to Delta and a little over 100 pilots at Mesaba will be able to flow up as well. So Delta does have some room for charity but not for us. I hear this move was well received by the Delta pilots.
Comair pilots had nothing to do with it. Comair Management said no. I have never spoken with a pilot at Comair that was against letting them keep their senority.
You have seen the letter from the MEC at the time right? So there was at least a couple people.
But the Comair MEC did try to turn the matter into a negotiating tactic, with the aim of relaxing Delta scope.
By the way, when was the last time you heard about Brand Scope, ALPA's highest priority?
