300 pilots come September 1st.

I talked to a new hire pilot going through training now a couple of days ago. Planning was saying we are about 160 pilots over what we need right now. I don't know if that has changed. Maybe with voluntary reductions we can trim that number to below 100 pilots.

Another way to look at it. If we fly 15 percent less than we are now in September. We have roughly 1450 pilots on property. 15 percent of 1450 is 220. Factor in attrition and voluntary leaves from the company and you get a number much less than 220. I remember the last time that we furloughed folks. It did not last more than 2 months before everybody was recalled.

Not the best of news right now. But not time to panic either.

We shall see
 
I wonder if they're going to try buyouts for the senior guys.
