Comair just lost the seven Freedom CRJ-900s

In a perfect world for Skywest Inc let ASA take those 7 900s plus the 17 SKW 900s and SKW can take the United RFP.

That would mean at least 130 SkyWest pilots would become ASA pilots. SGU would never let that happen.

Funny thing. Heard from the CP and VP of Ops directly that Pinnacle had been capped at 9 aircraft. The agreement had been made because Delta wants the planes but Pinnacle holds the lease/owns them. Pinnacle said no way DL was getting the planes if the agreement was canned. Very doubtful any more of those planes will go there.

Also considerable talk that Pinnacle may be the odd man out when DL and NW finish the merger. I don't put much credence in this though. I don't see where there is a capacity to provide that much feed on short notice to the largest airline in the world.

We currently have 11 -900s at PCL flying for Delta and the 16th will arrive in April '09. You have lousy sources.

Why would DL give PNCL those planes when they have already proven that they will buy their own planes. That is the only reason PNCL flys for Delta. Without those planes they would be gone. All about the money.

Actually I love my job, and I am still with wife number one! 16 years now! Life does not revolve around Comair either! What is sad is some people on here who's lives revolve around Flightinfodotcom, 5000, 6000 posts! Now that is sad!
