Wrong, wrong, WRONG!gkrangers said:My instructors brother who flies for ASA said the Chief Pilot at ASA is leaving for SWA and SWA is going to buy Skywest, including ASA, and then buy Comair too.
Then Xjet is going to buy Continental and United, while Northwest and Delta merge, and American picks up shop and moves the entire company to flying in the middle east.

DGdaPilot said:Yes. DL's the Titanic and Comair is the liferaft that's gonna get sucked under by the undertow of the sinking ship.
Semantics. DL is the Lucitania.LearLove said:when did DL become the Titanic? I thought that was reserved for us at US Air.
I vote for the Exxon Valdez with Captains Giambusso and Mullins on the helm.gkrangers said:Semantics. DL is the Lucitania.

scopeCMRandASA said:The rumor I heard is that if Delta declares BK, roughly 10% of the RJ fleet will immediately be grounded. Actually, I believe the words were from 10% up to over 100 of them. Apparently, Delta doesn't even want any more of them, but GE is not letting them out of their orders. Now with ASA sold, it might be a pretty rough ride for the Comair folk. Discuss.
Glad to be gone

Bye Bye--General Lee
Once again, why does Delta say that they want less RJs then sign a contract that says the opposite?
Popeye0537 said:Its not operating costs per se...JO couldn't get a 170/190 if he tried. Thoses A/C are locked up buy Air Canada,CHQ for the 170's, and JB on the 190's.
Just how is it more favorable to fly a crj900 vrs a E190...at least the 190 can take off from PHX with a full boat and full load of fuel. Cant say that about the stretched challenger!
