Why/who started this rumor anyways? Hey did you hear, TWA is going to buy AA.

I will be the first DAL guy to admit that COMAIR has now hired furloughed Delta guys without seniority number resignation. This occurred after we started recalling about two years after the original memo that JCL sent to the COMAIR pilots. And it came about because the COMAIR MEC approached management about dropping the requirement. So when it didn't look like we, meaning DAL mainline, were going to hire for decades it was "thanks but no thanks and lets talk about relaxing the scope clause" then when we started recalling it became "we support the Delta furloughees". Funny how that worked out.

Funny, I've never encountered that type of behavior when they're asking for my jumpseat.

Even Bill Lumberg, 737 Pylt and Generally makes nice while they're asking for my jumpseat.

When we filed the PID, we heard the "...commuter pilots just aren't qualified" argument. We always seem to be qualified enough when they're jumpseating home, however.

Funny, this Bill Lumberg never has had to ask for a jumpseat from Comair.....and I commute too.

What is interesting is how this turned into a jumpseat war, right here on the forum.......that and safety is APOLITICAL.....no one should use it to make a stand against a group like maybe using furloughees as pawns......buuuuuuut I digress.

Jumpseats are out like Moms and families......period!!

I only bring this up because of all the ranting on this site.

Had a Delta pilot on our flight the other day. He checked in up front and I asked how things were going at Delta. He then proceeded to rip on Comair pilots...cursing, etc...the whole 9 yards. I politely told him I just came from Comair. He shut his mouth at that point and proceeded to the back. Not even 10 minutes later this tool had the nerve to give the FA's a hard time because they wouldn't comp him free tv.

How entitled do you "mighty" Delta pilots think you are? It's not just on this board, but out in the real world, I hear more complaints about the attitude of Delta pilots. Needless to say, your buddy won't be jumpseating with us anytime soon.

I realize there are a lot of good natured pilots at Delta, but the number of pricks seems to be growing. Do the majority of Delta pilots rant and rave like the same guys who post on here daily? By the way, speaking of furlough support, what about our strike? The Delta pilots I came across treated me like crap...showed little to no support during our hard time. In addition, during the strike I know we received ALPA strike benefits. I appreciate the fact that you contributed. Aside from that minute amount of money, we had another fund set up for families having financial difficulties. Just about every airline out there contributed. Delta was a far "dead last" in the amount donated. United, American, regionals, etc... put in far more than you. Not a big deal... you can do whatever you want with you money. However, that was a sign to us. So, I won't forget that either.

Delta guys act as if they never do wrong. Open your eyes!

Wanna see support??? How about my w-2's with all of your strike asessments on it......How about the one time I was contacted by the DELTA strike committee not to take a trip because it was an add-on during your strike.....What about the people manning that center 24/7 in support of you guys/gals.......What about the Delta pilots who walked picket lines for you......

We're not too mighty, but at least we didn't pay for our job.....

Good luck to you at Frontier, that's a real good airline.....good people....(seriously)

Bill:
It only turned into a jumpseat war because some little prick named stratus 72 started it. Like I said, the JS has no place in all of this, but with his/her immaturity (flexing his frontier muscle), I can now see why this little turd started it!

Yes, by all means, let's get back to Bill Lumberg's mature and professional discourse.

You got it man.........

Jumpseats out......putting down Comair in!! (TIC)

737,

YOU turned this into a jumspeat war in your own mind. Reading your numerous posts, it shouldn't surprise me that such a disallusioned person responds the way that you do. There is no war here. I simply made a few comments. Did I strike the nerve of truth? Funny, when stuff like this comes up, 95% of the time it's only the Delta guys who don't see it. Your defense, all denial and thrown insults...so predictable. Just like a little bratty kid. When I start listing names and asking people to deny Delta..that's a war...and that will NEVER happen. EVERYONE is welcome on our JS, even you and the jumpseater who had to sit in the corner for acting the way that he did. I've had a number of Delta pilots JS and they have been fine. I appreciate the name calling, you must be a real joy to fly with. Again, the "high and mighty" mentailty. What a joke... you clearly have some issues. It's always your way. Of the roughly 50-60 Delta pilots I've met over the years...you're a "typical" Delta guy. I still like to think I've encountered the outcasts. After all, I've met some realy nice Delta pilots. Yes, I've met some pricks at Comair too. Nonetheless, please, if bashing Comair makes you feel good, then indulge. The JS topic is over...Merry XMAS.

Bill, I appreciate your strike support. What little was done was purely political on Delta/Alpa's part...don't kid yourself. Yes, there were some sincere folks at your airline. Clearly, most people didn't give a crap. Paying the strike dues was part of being in ALPA. It's not as if you had a lot of choice in the matter. Nonetheless, I really do thank you and the other ALPA members. By the way, never paid for my training...that stopped around 7 years ago. Good luck to you and 737 under the umbrella of USAIR, that's a real good airline.....good people....(seriously)
