Wow, this thread includes references to: Quizno's, obesity, ATP flight school, and much other drivel. To sum it up, CAL wanted to diversify, and there is a good chance that CHQ wasn't even cheaper than XJT. Get over it, do your job in a professional manner, get the PIC, get the f out of the regionals (if you want to). XJT, CHQ (more stable), and a handful of others all all great companies to spend a few years, but there is a little more stability elsewhere (albeit still not enough stability). Oh, and be sure to wave to your fellow CHQ aviator on the hardstand in IAH. If this sh!t pisses you off constantly, your life is going to be long and stressful. Safe flying!

It's coming out soon....right after ALPA's statement condeming the replacement of mainline routes by Comair and CoEx RJ's at lower wages...
We have a winner !! Egg-zactly.Pot,kettle ,black.

wow that was more of the intelligent comments i think ive ever heard....HEAR YE HEAR YE...if youve ever eaten two subs from Quiznos DO NOT APPLY to become an airline pilot....anyone that can slam down two delicious grilled subs obviously doesnt have the mental aptitude or the decision making skills to go to a GOOD airline (IE: everywhere but RP)....dude you are a serious spaz...GET A FREAKING LIFE...nit picky crap like this makes you sound like a pansy ass little girl....i mean its very obvious to me just by listening to you talk that you are waaaay too good to every step onboard an RP airplane....and since you saw one pilot act in an unprofessional manner you automatically think that everyone who gets up in the morning and puts a Chautauqua uniform on is exactly as unprofessional and is simply in this business to make your life miserable...not to pay bills and support families....you are a waste of carbon and i pity anyone who has to sit next to you in a cockpit for four days at a time...go ahead with your next comeback as to how im just as bad and im a piece of lowly trash because YES i fly for Chatauqua....get over yourself...things are by no means great in this industry but its dirt like you that makes it as bad as it is....im done FLAME AWAY

Actually, my F/Os and I have spent many a 4 day trip having a great time in cruise bashing RP and Mesa... And we didn't even double dip on subs. You made your bed, lie in it.

As for the jumpseat argument.... if you ask for my jumpseat, I'll gladly give you a ride. However, please be prepared for some tough questions from point A to point B. Differences aside, you are all welcome to my jumpseat....

ps... Chas, you never nailed Brandy at the 412 in FWA... good times though....

Being a doosh, you probably haven't paid a dang bit of attention to my company for the longest. Becasue if you had, you'd realize that the company has TRIPLED in size since the last contract as a fledgeling bottom feeder was signed. Let's wait until the first T/A comes out since it opens as early as April, before more uneducated talking

send the city pairs, I'll be there toughie. Oh wait, I couldn't ride up front several times even when I was flying Delta Conx!! The CAs couldn't find it in the FOM. Thanks.... ;)

I'm sure that T/A will happen so soon. Riiiiight! I mean, look at all the other airlines that have gotten contracts recently, or are still trying. They've only been at it for about 4 years. So, you'll still be a BIG bottom feeding airline with a contract to match for a while longer.

1) You didn't hit a nerve. I just tire of schmucks displaying total ignorance of how we got to where we are today. None of you had the expansion cycle we've had. This contract is a huge jump from the previous one, which was well inline with our position as a company at the time, and even to the fringe of growth anyone could have predicted.

2) Comair, ASA, nor XJT would have the contract they had without being in a position with outstanding barganing leverage. Yes, we all remember how CVG was shut down. The ramifications are still being felt as mother DL spun off ASA, after they were unable to find a buyer for CMR. Furthermore, DL is taking great pleasure in systematically dismantling CMR by adding contract carriers and reassigning your flying to other 50 seat carriers.

3) Unless everyone is as dumb as you two, we all know it takes 2.5-3 years under the RLA for a T/A to come about. I'd with hold the idiotic comments until then. Even if we hold the line on an outstanding scope, no JA, and improvements in other articles that are inline with our company and industry position, you'll still bitch. I don't care, but be informed. If you had a crystal ball, you'd have known DL was going to fist you, but you don't and neither does our MEC. One can only negotiate based off reasonable assumptions. Why base a contract on hopes and promises? Everyone would laugh at that. If we had 757 rates at $250/hr, and all else was subpar on equipment we operate today, it'd be idiotic. We based our pay off what we knew at the time and where the industry was. None of you, until XJET recently, voted in a big contract improvement. We were the first post-9/11 non-concessionary contract. Print it and read it everytime you post. We may not have moved the "industry bar" (which is a joke, because your company's health is important. If you don't believe that, I can't help), but when we improved our previous contract rates by 10% initially, and 17% over the life, as well as have an industry leading scope, I don't know what more you can ask from an airline that was roughly the size of TransStates today.
