If you're going to a place because of a quick upgrade, it doesn't mean that it's going to be there when you're ready to upgrade. With the industry the way it is, I'd pick an airline where you can be comfortable in any seat and in any equipment for a period of time. Don't go to some crappy carrier because of "Oh, I'll just get my 1000 PIC and be out of there." It just ain't happening. You need to be somewhere that you can stand to work for a while. Comair, ExpressJet, SkyWest, Horizon. These are all examples of places where you can stay for a long period of time if you have to. It's all about QOL in this job.

Wasn't ACA one of those places? 2002- one of the hottest topics on these boards. They had that awesome contract, nice jets, interview dudes asking the candidates what the stock price was in the interview. You could really just park yourself there and work as an FO for 3-5 years until you upgraded.
