Like I said before, you guys should organize and you wouldn't have to put up with that cr@p.

Dont do it.

Go buy a new car and be patient. Or go on vacation, put a downpayment on a house, buy your own plane but don't PFT. Yup the Mungusaurus has changed his tune. Some of them are great, most are not. 700hrs of droning around the sky and a few hrs in an A90 does not make you a good pilot, yes we have hired guys with 700hrs, maybe less.
I'm just in a bad mood again so i'm venting.
Anyone have any good ways to lower blood pressure naturally?
I'm a little stressed at work right now!
Peace Love and Cargoes, Mung.

*sings* ....start spreadin' the news....i'm leavin' today

or,

how about some ATIS to listen to?

perhaps these will lower the mungasaurus' blood pressure?

I was just offered an interview with Colgan Air, Thru Regional Airline Academy. I was shocked to find out that PFT was $18,500.00 upfront. Hotel, Food and Beer are at your cost during training.
Also no pay during training. This price is for the B1900. Saab 340 is more. This was as of last Wednesday.
I did not take the course RAA is now offering I went to a CRM Jet sim course pre 9/11 and was to get an interview with Trans State or CoEx. This never happened, Due to post 9/11 layoffs etc.

At 44, with wife and kid, plus house payment, another $20,000 for flying is just too much for a low paying job half way across the country. I hope there is a flying job out before I'm to old, anyway good luck to those that choose this route, this just looks like the wrong one for me.

Climb.....

...you're right -- I am arrogant.

As for your comments about a pink slip, nope -- I left there voluntarily TWICE. You should, however, question my intellegence for going back to that misery the second time.

Regarding your comments in another thread last week about my legal acumen, I think that law school, two years of law review, and one year on a highly successful moot court team give me just a tiny bit of ammunition with which to discuss the law.

The 18,500 is for the Saab or the Beech 1900 and that includes a type rating. Also you only get paid 50.00 a day in training but atleast it's something. Does anyone know how long you are put on reserve?

Thanks for your help

Hey tuttyjet, were you a sim instructor at Colgan?

Brazillian Grill

The Brazillian Grill, the only reason a trip to the Anis is worthwhile. Ice, keep the bbq fires burning mate, no doubt we will be back several times before the year is out. I would like to recommend that if any pilots reading this board find themselves in HYA overnight, the Brazillian BBQ on main st is the best 17.50 you will ever spend for food. We had a group of us sit and eat there for 4 hrs one night. MMM bacon wrapped filet mignon and the ribs are the best.
Your fat ba$tard bud, the Mungusaurus.

Mung wake up from hybernation and want food!!! Brazillian BBQ....Yum...Yum...Yum... Hybernation make Mung hungry!!!!!:D

I hear ya man.. It's one thing to have to babysit on their legs, but when you have to babysit on your legs, it's extra F'ed up.

Druglord... Cats start crying and running to the chinese food places all over the county when you start to sing... I like chinese food so do me a favor and STOP singing!

What's going on?

Be 1900 test pilot.

Chper, what are you talking about "Future" 1900 test pilot. In my opinion I'm a 1900 test pilot every time I strap one on!
Heres to 100and a 1/2 all winter long boys an' gals.
Luv,The Mungusaurus from the frozen tundra.
P.S. Chper, they still dont have the ILS, ALS up and running in the county. This is going to make for a couple of interesting weeks ahead. We need 1040' and 1 mile to get in on a straight in to rwy 1. Hey I need the flight time though, and I've never been to Bangor.

Not much! How are things with you? The base isn't the same now with all you guys gone. Look us up if you get to HYA.

Trois bieres, s'il vous plait!!!

Fellas,
Don't know what you're plans are for the next couple of weeks(and if I know Crew Scheduling, neither do you- har, har!), but I aim to get on up their to BOS for a visit with Leach... I'm thinking Black Rose or Bell-in-Hand Tavern if you guys are up for it. Drink and belch a little, it'll be like old times!
Advise when able and contact grond point niner...

I'm a law school wannabee

tittyjet,

in the ever so clever, diplomatic way that lawyers say, "with kindest regards" ; after they have notified you of deposition,

i'm no lawyer..... so touchee on being on the law review...

Having said that, I'm outta here ..........in DC-9 class on Nov 3.

My final comments on Colgan........

should run the pilot roster under senority norms. didn't say union

NO FO SHOULD HAVE TO INTERVIEW FOR A CAPTAIN JOB. THAT'S GETTING HIRED TWICE!

MORE INFO SHOULD BE DISTRIBUTED LIKE BID AWARDS AND BASE ROSTERS.

A CHANCE TO WORK OVERTIME....CAN'T LIVE ON GAURANTEE!

DUMP THESE RESERVE DAYS FOR LINEHOLDERS...IT'S A CARDINAL SIN..............

BETTER SCHEDULES FOR COMMUTERS.....

THAT'S ALL NOT MUCH...............

RETURN PHONE CALLS AND QUIT BLOWING THEM OFF.

For me, It's been a good year. having to move once..........

white plains has a captain spot open. my last day will be wed, 10/28.

the base is good. we have a great crash pad. near downtown, the big city subway, 7 miles from airport, easy interstate access.

the company pays 300/month toward rent of 387.50.

I hope everyone finds what they looking for! fly safe!Peace!

....well there goes my plans for becoming a vegas showgirl and living with you cherpolt...yeah you heard me right showgirl...but I did have my captain singing the Kopa Kabana this morning, so I don't think I'm that bad, and I'm sure gategirl and others will attest to my singing abilities. As for dancing, well lets just say I'm currently in my whitey tighties practicing my stuff as we speak.
Climbhappy, good luck mate, I was hopin' for a friend in ground school,
Iced up...who're you...I'm guessing you know who I am
as for the others....
hope that doesn't leave you with any disturbing mental images...

Showgirl?????

The ugliest, hairyest showgirl in History... maybe

I'm trying to teach him... I really am

Climb

Congratulations and good luck!!!!

Drugdude

Disturbing mental images... What do you think???

Iced

HYA was fun.. I don't think I'll be getting back there anytime soon. I think in a few weeks I'll be a full time west coaster again. You and the wife should come out here some time!

Jason

I'll have to get out to Dallas sometime soon.. I'll call you
