According to the ATC Archive from an hour ago (0320z), Colgan 3407 is down NE of KBUF in Clarence Center. At 0324z in the archive, the controller makes blanket announcement that a "Dash 8 is down short of the airport in the vicinity of the outer marker" and asks all for icing pireps.

Local Buffalo news station has it listed as a U.S. Airways codeshare...but Colgan 3407 is EWR-BUF Q400.

This doesn't look good...here's to hoping for the best.

Crap is right. Must have been something pretty catastrophic... They were only 5 miles from the airport and at least from the ATC tapes, everything seemed normal.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone involved.
