MJG you are really on crack if you think that once we get that last jet thats it...Yes for now thats the plan but when these 70-90 seaters start really competing against our routes you have to constantly change your busines plan to stay alive. you start weighing those extra seat miles on a 90 vs a 50 and it starts adding up. Nides and Ream aren't dummies..They have a plan past the 274 rj but they aren't telling....But you can ask him and he will tell you they have a plan. I already have...

Ok, so we get bigger jets.....don't think they'll be replacing some of our current jets Mr Hagen? There is only a finite amount of capacity that CAL will ever have XJT conduct for them. Unless we grow to fly on our own or for another airline....the game of musical chairs will stop at XJT in a few years.

Sam Valid point so please hurry up and get hired somewhere else. I need to upgrade before it stops:D

Cheers-n-Beers while we still can

But when the 274th jet arrives, that's it, as far as we know. Once that happens then there will be ZERO movement, something that I can't seem to convince some of my fellow pilots of.

Um, the number of airframes has nothing to do with the number of pilots. Its block hours.

Comair flies approximately the same number of departures per day that COEX does, yet they do it with 85 less aircraft. How? COEX flies their planes 7:40 hrs per day avg and CMR 13.

Block hours, not airframes are what you need to look at. With 274 airplanes flying 7:40/day - you have the ability to double your pilot force with a simple increase in block hours.

Further, we are opening (COEX) 8 new stations in the first qrtr of 2004 alone - non-CAL stations that we are starting anew, and 10,000 block hour increase in the first qrtr as well.

The upgrades will be coming quickly again, as well as getting the 300+ CAL pilots back to their rightful company.

What are these new cities, can you list them please.

Took the words right out of mouth, Obi-Wan. I heard around the crewroom that one of the voice mail's said a few cities like Juarez and Bakersfield...

I'll be laughing at you for a long time since it is clear you are a putz who can't spell and obviously didn't pass the IQ test in Dresser's interview process. I'm glad that our rather strict (and tough process admittedly) kept out an idiot like you. Its just too bad we've kept out some good ones along the way as well.

Sam

Yeah, it's that same process that may have kept me out but will FORCE you to "flow" to Continental airlines in about 20 years.

Once you FINALLY grow some sack and can handle some heavy iron like me - it will be where OH in Guam? What will you be flying over in Guam? yeah, that's right. NOTHING, because you'll be a SECOND officer doing fuel computations for a SCAB on the same DC-10 that my dad flew 25 years ago as CAPTAIN.

Have fun pulling gear forever.

Have fun flowing threw to Guam.

Have fun working on those fuel numbers for the last 5 years of your airline career.

Have fun NEVER making over $60,000 per year.

I will make WELL over $45,000 this year AND I am the PIC, next year looks even better for my paycheck, too!

Who's laughing now, HUH?!

Go COEX, GO!

I thank the lord for small mercies.

Is that what you say when you look at yourself in the mirror?

Are you an eternal First Officer at CALEX, too - wishing that you were a Captain and PIC like me?

I'm sorry.

Talk to a shrink and don't get amd at me becuause YOUR company and career are in the toilet.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Mr. maturity at his finest. Put the keyboard down son, it's time to do your homework, you've got to go back to school soon.

Ben you mean we are going to pull those 10s out of the desert? Cool personally I think anything that has 3 engines and smokes is cool!!!

Your still welcome to j/s anytime with us whenever you finally get a job or graduate from High school. I'd love the opportunity to smack you in the face a dozen or so times with my flight case.

Dresser may have been a prick but at least he did some good by keeping scum like you off our seniority list.

At least then you would be pushing equipment as PIC in your respective "field"

The piloting profession doesn't need bitter FO's like you anywhays. They need strong individuals like me leading people (my crew) into the 21st century of aviation.

I'm sorry that you have to depend on your captains to leave in order for you to get ahead in life at COEX. It also sucks that you have to depend on UNION SCABS (oxymoron of the centurey) to figure out your flowing through agreement that is supposed to help??? you?

How is reserve treating you?

I figure that I'll be asking you the same questions on this message board when I am an FO - AT A MAJOR AIRLINE when you are gloating about your HUGE FO pay rates at COEX - oooooohhhh, yeahh...

You can jumpseat with ME anytime, man. I get to make that call as PIC of the aircraft.

LOL......I don't like to sound immature but I just can't help myself after ben's previous post. Anybody else see arrogance just flaming from this comment and all the other posts on this thread by ben. By looking at the aircraft flown category, previous comments and most importantly his arrogance just makes me wonder if he went to the Air Force Academy.

Maybe if more had gone through the rigors of the service, they might respect people who are in professional poistions - like a PIC.

They also might want to work hard for the things that they have instead of complaning about there jobs and low pay.

The COEX pilots want a free job at a major becuase they work at COEX - they aren't willing to pay any dues to get it - like the rest of us in the industry. Do YOU want to associate with a bunch of brats who feel entitled to a job flying heavy iron, or do you want to feel proud of the company that you serve?

The choice is yours.

DAWG- it don't matter what you fly, F-117 or C-152. THere is a certain degree of professionalism required for flight. Some folks just don't have it.

I will still maintian that if you DON't want to be an eternal FO you should stay away from COEX altogether.
