CL300 Radar

Can the operators out there give me some insight as to this system... We are not very impressed with its performance and to the point that we are rather untrusting of it at all.

I came out of a 604, 900EX and Q400 and all have very capable radar units...

Thoughts? Tricks? Suggestions?

Do you have XM weather as a second source?

Never had a problems with the Collins radars.

In 3000+ hours it hasn't let me down. Auto-tilt works pretty well as I bring the range in to keep an eye on the cells as we pass...

Have you thought about purchasing a Stratus? For about 500 bucks you can route XM through the Stratus using it as a ADS-B reciever. If you operate in the few zones that arent covered yet, you can always run it through the aircraft Wi-Fi (if applicable). Cheap man's XM
