Dang ain't that the truth!!!! In the three years I flew a straight winged near jet I do not think I ever went to a service center and there not be at least 3 X's sitting on the ramp with slat problems.

Most of the X drivers I met when asked about reliability just grumbled...."friggen %$&# airplane" and went for more coffee!! :)

The thing is quick though, you gotta give em that.
 
Easy now, not all Citations are equal.. the phrase isn't Slow Cation anymore. Citation X is .92 Mach machine --Blows the doors off any civ aircraft...

It IS still just a 'Light Twin'

I'm flying the good ol' slowtations, and I love 'em.....I'm slower than $hit, stable, sipping fuel......and I'm home every night. The bigger the airplane, the bigger the suitcase. :)

Why would I want to brag about commanding something that is hard to fly?

I'm past the "my plane is bigger than your plane" mentality.

I'd rather work less not more, for the same money.

Pay me 100K to fly a 172 and I'm there baby:-0

Maybe if I super glue a Space Shuttle booster under each wing in the decent. :)

Try about 320kts for the old 500's. I have flown turboprops that would out run those things. The 550's and 560's are pretty nice though 360 to 420 depending on the model. Still a high altitude speedbump but does it's job well.

It really doesn't teach you much about flying jets, other than being jet powered it flies more like a King Air or other light twin.

However like you said, pay me 100k and I will fly most anything!!(except something that should be paying 150k!!!) :)
