I dont work for CHQ I work for one those owned company go work for CHQ. I have tons of frineds who work for CHQ. They have better QOL they were only on reserve for may be I repeate may be for two months. And I will be sitting here on reserve for at least year and half to two years. So Go work for CHQ you will have fun with pilots who like flying for the company and even better younger pilot group too. Ya pay is less but in scheme of things PIC time counts so go become a captain in two years and make more money in two years than a two year FO at one these owned places.

I SAY GO FOR CHQ.

I was just replying to the stalker. I don't hate any one. I hate chaq pilots actions. Do we need to debate all that again?
For the most part, a spineless group represented by a spineless union. Management is extremely willing to take advantage of the situation. Almost as bad as the place I work!

Okay, I guess I'll ask... Slightly off-topic...

Why is it that CHQ pilots are "spineless" and ExpressJet pilots are to be congratulated on a job well done? Didn't both of these groups (hang on, here it comes, my favorite idiotic phrase in aviation...) lower the bar by not getting Comair-plus?

On second thought, maybe I shouldn't ask. I will probably find the answer to be a smoke screen.

Stalker! Now THAT's funny.

Weren't you the guy who told me, "I always have time for a discussion." Then you refused to debate me.

Whatever. You're now on my ignore list. Should've done that a long ago.

Sphrynxlla: Good for you. Don't listen to anyone here. Do your own research, and go wherever you're most comfortable.

Got lost on the way to the Mensa meeting, I'm afraid. ;)

It is all about what you want:

Do you want a good QOL?
Large base selection, 10 bases?
Continuing growth?
Relatively short upgrade?
Younger pilot group, fun to fly with?
Very short reserve time 2-3 months?
Different code-shares, not all eggs in one basket?
Different code-shares, different benefits?
SLIGHTLY lower pay?

Then try for CHQ.

My favorite part is the 10 bases. I have talked to several of our pilots who came from airlines like chq and eagle. Get the kids in school, buy a house and then the base closes or down sizes. Want to upgrade? Move to diff base. Not a very good way to run an airline.

Why are we constantly in this pissing contest? Do none of us have anything better to do? Here's the view from my side of the tracks. I worked 14 days two months ago, I worked 15 days last month, and I'm working 12 days this month. I have the flexibility to switch my schedule at my whim up until 12 hours before my start time. I sat on reserve for 3 months. I only have three bases to choose from, but I don't see any of them changing in the near future. I only make slightly more than most "regional" pilots per hour, and a little less than a couple. I get to use work rules that allow me to turn two weeks of vacation into six, and still get paid for them. I work for a company that is in a wonderful position to make a move if it presents itself. I just PRAY that our management knows when to move. I love my job. I'm getting ready to go back to work after 10 days off at Thanksgiving. The hourly pay IS NOT WHAT MYSELF OR ANY OTHER XJT PILOT WANTED. The other 180 pages of the contract are very good improvements and I would be willing to put it toe to toe with any other "regional" contract. I know pilots at most regionals, including several at CHQ. They are all GREAT guys. They enjoy working for their company. They didn't lower the bar, they made improvements in many sections of their previous contract. Everybody get over it. You get what you negotiate. That's it. Now, back to my ME TIME!

"Could this be the end of this drawn out pissing match?"

But then again, if there weren't any fun pissing matches like this, whatever would we do in our free time?

How about getting off the computer, turning around to your girlfriend / wife sitting on the couch rolling her eyes because all of your home time is spent talking about airplanes or airlines, and giving her a kiss, before your neighbor who is home EVERY SINGLE NIGHT does.

How's that MCO base at Cmr working out? How are the ASA guys doing at DFW?
