Do you want to be an all out slut or a girl that puts out a lot if you know her? Either way you gonna get the long one in the wrong one.

OK, now that was pretty funny!

Back to the original question, both are decent places to work (can't speak personally for XJET, just info through friends). Compensation is within a few bucks an hour of each other. Both holding companies are turning profits. More base options at CHQ. Better overall work rules with the exception of junior manning at XJet. In many comparisons, it's six to one, half a dozen to the other. Go with the first class date offered. If both offer classes at the same time, think base and quality of life issues.

The talk of furlough at CHQ is only talk. I've been called for overtime (E 145) on every day off in October and November including twice today. Scheduling says they are extremely short staffed. Kind of makes one giggle when the whole "They're gonna furlough" crap starts up. One of my best friends put in for a company offered leave because of our "overstaffing issue" and was called the next day by Crew Planning saying it was denied due to the Company being understaffed. He wanted some time off with travel bennies before his 28th class date with CAL.

All airlines have their plus and minuses. Just be happy you have a choice.
