c21dvr,
your probably correct....after all 100 hours to get it right ought to be enough anyway. and its a takehome test (they still pay you only 1 hours worth to do it?)

Ask for HR, or Crew Planning or any other department to get quicker answers instead of asking on here.

Starchecker, maybe you need to call the HR folks to see if they have news for you. I've heard stories of recalls with no official letter, and just a "you're recalled" message on the answering machine. If you are not proactive, you may be waiting for too long.

I called HR today. Recall letters are going out next week for all remaining furloughs....possibly on Monday. Recall date "sometime in November" was all I could get. We'll know next week.

The best person to get in touch with regarding recalls is Gary Santos. Give him a call ASAP. He's really good about getting back to you. Good Luck to all.

Matt or Steve?

Hey man!
I saw your recent post:

Which office? I was hired out of Manassas in May.
Are you Matt or Steve?
Mike here. I was in the office at JAX for a short time with Steve and worked in CHI with Matt.
If it's neither, sorry to bother. If so, how are things going at Chautauqua?
Cheers.

Hey FLyeveryday
Congrats on the new job! Sorry I didn't make it to the farewell last night. Been real busy.

Hope you have a great time.

I got a call today from someone in training today and he told me a few fun facts....

10 new hires starting this friday 10/17
30 Jets-4-Jobs guys starting the following friday 10/24

The rest of us still on the street will be back in IND for a refresher type of thing the 13th of next month.

He didn't specify... but with J4J's that pretty typical. How is this going to work by giving a Capt slot to a junior pilot? Will they have base/bidding rights over the real CHQ pilots? Not to put them down but fair is fair.

Terrrrrific.

Not 1, but 2 new-hire classes start with us still furloughed.

Nice.

Feels more like 3 classes to me.

Does anybody except interviewees actually ever read (or follow) the CHQ "guiding principles"?

Peace or, even, just a piece!

GO CUBBIES!!!

The J4J's guys will be stuck on the bottom of the reserve list for a VERY long time. Seniority goes by date of hire, so they will be able to hold a hard line after all the "regular guys" that were hired up to the day before the j4j' guys. (Kind of like working at most other reginals)
