Dispatcher Go Spurs?

The decision to go to or not to go to AOH that night was made by a licensed dispatcher in our flt following center. The flight crew was never involved in the decision to go to AOH or not, doesn't your dispatcher provide the same service for you?

Looking back on some of your previous posts, you seem to bring a large amount of information into conversations that ussaully turns out to be incorrect and/or irrellevant. Speculation into a matter that you know nothing about tarnishes not only the person/persons you are talking about, but also hurts the credibility of yourself and makes the company you represent, USA Jet, look bad.

Both the captain and first officer that flew that trip are neither overconfident or smug when it comes to knowing their limitations or the limitations of the Falcon 20. I know this because I've flown with both guys for hundreds of hours over the past two years.

Think before you type PILOTYIP.

Your jinxing yourself...one thing I will add and I think I speak not only for myself but for the others in this post and industry wide...if you were involved in an accident/incident even now after all your trash talk...none of us would second guess or demean you...and would hope that you made it out ok, and would wait to see the final report and learn from the errors and mistakes involved!

You should be thankful the cherry guys are ok (and Cherry might not be the best operation, but they have a helluva lot of good 'ole boys over there that will always have your back and operate to a very high level and regard for safety!) and that we can all learn from their situation when it has been FULLY investigated.

Don't be so assinine!!! Why don't you jump on board with your fellow aviatiors....sorry to tell you that USA Jet isn't the Pinnacle of this journey...and even at the top whats the point of being there if you can't help others follow your path???

Your comment about the GA (drt-Stl) run is complete and morbid BS, grow the F*** up.

While some figure out whose daddy is bigger than your daddy, why dont we just take a second and be glad this was only an incident and that the pilots are ok.

I dont fly frieght any longer but flew it for years, and typically sound decisions, and competent actions are what keep a situation like this from being much worse.

Not meant to be flame bait, Im just glad that families will not be dealing with loss of life during the holidays.

I hope the FAA doesn't hear about that. I imagine they expect the PIC to have a little say in the dispatch decision. I suspect your Ops Specs might require a joint decision on the part of the dispatcher and the PIC.

I'm sorry, I really didn't intend to comment on an incident about which I know nothing related to an airport and a company I barely recognize, but the outrageousness of that comment overwhelmed me.

I have just been informed via PM that my outrage was misdirected. Based on the information I now have at my disposal, allow me to rephrase pilotyip's comment:

What pilotyip meant to say
The customer called my company's sales department, who in turned called my company's dispatchers. They took a look at the weather and decided it was in the company's best interest to NOT sell a flight to that particular airport at that particular time. The decision to NOT go to AOH that night was made by a licensed dispatcher in our flt following center. My company's flight crews were never involved in the decision to NOT go to AOH, and I'm sure glad they didn't put me on the spot. Isn't it funny that somebody else tried to go and screwed up?

Apparently, my outrage should be at the attitude of someone who seems to delight in the misfortune of a crew that DID elect to go to that airport at that time and were subsequently involved in an unfortunate incident.
