Cherry Air slide a Falcon off the end of the runway Saturday at Lima, OH. Crew OK, airplane unknown

Lima is only 5000 ft, snow removal is iffy there.

4-3-8. Braking Action Reports and Advisories

a. When available, ATC furnishes pilots the quality of braking action received from pilots or airport management. The quality of braking action is described by the terms "good," "fair," "poor," and "nil," or a combination of these terms. When pilots report the quality of braking action by using the terms noted above, they should use descriptive terms that are easily understood, such as, "braking action poor the first/last half of the runway," together with the particular type of aircraft.

When the pilot ahead of you calls it "poor" so you can get in, is he really doing you a favor?

I got sucked into this once and wound up using crab angle and power, to maintain runway centerline. The runway was more or less glare ice and there was a 15 knot crosswind. I bet I was holding a 40 degree crab on the runway, just stay centered.

Pilot Yip,,, You started this thread to find out info because YOU don't know jack about what happened. You want the truth about other carriers, but you won't tell the truth about your own.

**EDITED out of respect for pilotag**

only posted what is in the paper

As seen in the Toledo Blade "LIMA, OH - A cargo airplane operated et ,etc, .......... reported by the Ohio Highway Patrol's Lima Post" It gave the names and home towns of the pilots and the damage to the airplane I elected not to put that in the post. Hey 731 I am only a messenger. I will say that USA Jet turned down the trip because of airport conditions. Same as we did the non-stop DRT-STL last April

Where did you guys get a braking action report at 4am? Seriously, was there a PIREP or something??? The FAA is calling this an incident, so it couldn't have been that bad.
