Redbones in Somerville (Davis Square on the Red Line) is the only good one I know of in the Boston area and it doesn't compare to what you get down south. Stick to the fish around here:p

Mr. I.

I was right next to Denver and I got a picture of the contrail, err chemtrail.

Gad, that was unexpected. :D

Mr. Tibbs Ribs in BFL is pretty good.

Fly SAFE!

P.S. Just 'cause the flight ain't in Flight Explorer doesn't mean a thing. Several business jet operators have blocked their info from showing in those types of programs. Alas for those that have faith no proof is needed, for those that have belief no proof is possible.

It's been a while since I was there, but the BBQ joint in the MCO terminal makes a decent pulled pork sandwich. I usually eat the pork with a fork, allowing me to let the lower half of the hoagie bun to soak up most of the grease.

As for Redbones, I'm unfamiliar. However Leon Redbone is one of my favorite singers.

Who else listens to offbeat music?

Beale Street

It might sound strange, but Beale St BBQ in Bath and Portland, Maine, of all places, is outstanding. Good stuff.

Man, I wish this guy would stop looking at the sky in 2D and realize that there are a whole lot of altitudes for other jets to fly at and not created CONtrails.

I haven't had any good BBQ lately. Any good place down in West Palm Beach?

Don't know why I bother, but, Denver130 those pics look normal to me. You keep stating the weather stats on the ground which have almost NO NONE ZERO relation to the weather at 30000 ft.

For once, why don't you go hang out at some local airport. When you see a contrail, rent a cessna, get the pilot to take you up to the alt you think the contrail is at. Soon you will notice those trails aren't below the clouds and that little cessna won't be taking you up to FL330 where they exist.

Stop posting crappy photos. None of your photos have made me even think you are on to something.

As for BBQ, if you're ever in Toronto, there's a place downtown just off Yonge St. called the Purple Pig. They have amazing BBQ. They win major bbq awards in North America for their ribs. Try it sometime. Prices are very reasonable.

Bullock's barbeque in Durham, NC
Yeah boyeeee! Good stuff. Also, Stamey's in Greensboro.

Everybody knows North Carolina BBQ is the greatest thing since Krispey Kreme doughnuts. :D

Wilburs? Never eaten BBQ in Goldsboro, but I go there from time to time to see old friends. I'll look for it.

Hey, CD. Please stop mixing hijack topics with bogus topics. If you want to discourse with Denver, please do so with private mail. This thread is for BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!

Redbones in Somerville (Davis Square on the Red Line)
My wife grew up a block from Davis Square and her family still lives there. I ride the T from the airport to visit them. Redbones is good but you're right, in BOS get fish! My wife non-revs home periodically to bring back fresh cod.

My favorite BBQ is gates in KC. In the SE I like Sonny's and here in HKY it's Bennett's. Generally, I love BBQ!

If your ever in Tampa FL - Go to Charley's Steak House - best steak house in Tampa. Not too far from Tampa Intl. either.

BBQ

Boy, Red Hot and Blue is pretty good. I remember standing in line at the original in Rossyln. Now I can get it here in Michigan not 25 minutes from my house.. ummm.. yum.

If any of you are left with some time in Des Moines, I highly suggest Jesse's Embers. It's not too far from the airport on Ingersoll, but you won't see it unless you're looking for it. My family has gone there since I was a kid, and the dim smokiness and old leather in a tiny BBQ joint is perfect. Not to mention the ribs.

Interstate (I think) BBQ in memphis - the original is in midtown Memphis, sorta, they have one inside the pax terminal at MEM - always fills the terminal with a super BBQ smell, always a bunch of airport workers and pax in line.

Redbones in boston. Gotta love the wheel of beer and it's a quick jump on the red line. I go there all the time. Mr. I there are quite a few good bbq joints here in bos. PM me and I'll send them to you.

Beale street in PWM. Right under the bridge same as the one in bath.

Gotta agree with sonny. They do a "big deal meal" with the sizzling sweet bbq sauce. god that's good.

Corky's also has a place in the MEM terminal. Both are good, but I prefer Interstate. Make sure you have plenty of time though, the line goes on forever most of the time.

We fly into DET (detroit city) all the time, that's one of our favorite places to go!

Ok, you folks can spout out your favorite bbq joints all across the states, but untill you've had a brazilian bbq, you ain't seen nothing yet! Ain't nothin like watching a waiter bring a huge chunk of drippin, tender sirloin on a skewer, right to your table...and you decide how much you want on your plate!!!

The ultimate one here in florida is Porcão (miami), but if you can't swing $40-$50, Tropicana (next to Pompano airpark) has a sunday special, all you can eat meat and sides, for $10. Can't beat that!!!!

There's at least 10 others in the area as well.

Hmmm....meeeeaaaattt!!!!!

Hey guys/gals,

This BBQ thread is good stuff, but we're ignoring something very important here: What kind of beer do you prefer with your BBQ? Personally, I lean toward Sam's or Bass Ale.
