My family has gone there since I was a kid, and the dim smokiness and old leather in a tiny BBQ joint is perfect. Not to mention the ribs.

Corky's also has a place in the MEM terminal. Both are good, but I prefer Interstate. Make sure you have plenty of time though, the line goes on forever most of the time.

We fly into DET (detroit city) all the time, that's one of our favorite places to go!

Ok, you folks can spout out your favorite bbq joints all across the states, but untill you've had a brazilian bbq, you ain't seen nothing yet! Ain't nothin like watching a waiter bring a huge chunk of drippin, tender sirloin on a skewer, right to your table...and you decide how much you want on your plate!!!

The ultimate one here in florida is Porcão (miami), but if you can't swing $40-$50, Tropicana (next to Pompano airpark) has a sunday special, all you can eat meat and sides, for $10. Can't beat that!!!!

There's at least 10 others in the area as well.

Soak em in Tabasco. Batter em. Lightly fry em. Then soak em some more in a mix of cheap BBQ sauce and hot sauce. Then grill em a little while you sop more sauce on em. When you've grilled em long enough to get the skin, batter, sauce, sort of sticky/gooey and almost carmelized, your done.

As I think about the smoking guns of chemtrails, we can only conclude one of two things. Either what people are seeing is normal or it is un-normal. That's it!

I premise is this.

From a governmental perspective:

1. The government admits this program exists.
2. Presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich reaffirmed the program in spite of government denials
3. The government has a history of spraying over populated areas.

From a scientific perspective:

1. Jet contrails occur under certain undeniable conditions - which are well known and documented.
2. If what people see violates the conditions of jet contrail science, then in all likelihood they are seeing a new phenomenon.
3. The average person through the web can collect scientific data to make in intelligent decision such as:

a. Humidity: high altitude water vapor maps are available every 15 minutes via satellite imaging. If the high altitude air is dry, then we need to question what we see.

b. Cloud cover: Cloud ceilings measurements are done using machines these days. Most major airports have these devices and the data is posted hourly at Unisys Weather. One you look at the cloud ceiling readings, you find that most cloud ceilings are under 10,000ft. Is that enough for jet contrail formation? No! What if I spot a contrail under the clouds and photograph it, and check the web for the cloud ceiling and the clouds are under 10,000ft?

1. Question what you’re seeing.
2. Don't believe a pilot who says "that’s normal".
3. Ask yourself: "Do normal jet contrails occur less than 10,000ft?
The answer is no! What is it then?

c. Time factor: Studies have been done in Houston to determine the average length of time jet contrails linger and it is not 6 hours, its less than 60 seconds. So what do you do when you see and electronically record time lapsed jet contrails in Houston, TX? Question what you're seeing. Don't fall for the "it’s just normal" explanation.

In addition to that, citizens are observing jet contrails on certain days of the week on a consistent basis. (even in desert conditions) What gives?

d. Size: Draw a line on a piece of paper. That is the size a normal jet contrail appears in the sky. Take a picture at cruising altitude over a city with a camera and pinpoint a building. How big is it? tiny. Size matters! Trails that can be discussed as massive, gigantic, or extremely large should be questioned.

e. Climate: Let’s face it, Houston in the tropics or Las Vegas in the desert shouldn’t be experiencing excessive amounts of jet contrails. They don’t have the atmospheric conditions to support them. Just examine common satellite imaging! Its typically too hot and dry. This should put a red flag up in any pilots mind. If not the only conclusion you can make is that jet contrails (which mainly consist of ice crystals) can occur anywhere, anytime under any condition. But I reject that conclusion because its not scientific.

What does science say? Jet contrails occur at altitudes of 30,000ft or higher. So if you see jet contrails at lower altitudes (ie under 10,000ft) what should you do?

1. accept it as normal
2. question it, analyze it and draw a conclusion.

Don't know why I bother, but, Denver130 those pics look normal to me. You keep stating the weather stats on the ground which have almost NO NONE ZERO relation to the weather at 30000 ft.

a. size? - are they pencil thin or massive?
b. altitude - any photo with a contrail under the clouds should be suspicious.
c. On the opening page at www.geocities.com/houstonchemtrails which photo looks normal?
1. the grid above the house?
2. the orb around the sun?
3. the massive X above the house?
4. the chem tail taken in Austin, TX where its hot and dry
5. the chem lines - did 4 pilots just decide to fly together?
Why so low?
6. chem goo - does it appear to be drip like? How could I
capture that image with a K-mart camera if its 30,000ft high?


2. What about the weather stats?

a. temp and humidity - ground stats should give us a clue as to whats there but there are better alternatives. For example I daily check out weather satellite photography. There, you can view visable shots, and infrared shots. They even include high altitude water vapor shots. I also subscribe to Acuweather web site which has up to date humidity maps , high altitude water vapor maps, and temperature and cloud ceiling maps. So I am watching much more than what I used too. Has my conclusion changed now that more data is available to me? NO!

Its too obvious that the weather conditions often are not right for jet contrails in Houston. Moreover, I'm getting more and more photos of activity under the clouds. Thats a major red flag. Something is wrong.

By the way, on visable satellite imaging, high altitude clouds appear a bright white color where low altitude clouds appear more grayish in color. What type of clouds do I see mostly over Houston? grayish low altitude clouds.

I hate say but science is a big smoking guy when it comes to the issue of chemtrails. It smokes more than all the BBQ comments on this string of postings.

I wish in my heart of hearts that this was a bogus topic. But when thousands of people call the FAA according to USA today and reject the FAA explaination for the activity they see above their homes. Shouldn't we begin to question what's going on?

When you see a contrail, rent a cessna, get the pilot to take you up to the alt you think the contrail is at. Soon you will notice those trails aren't below the clouds and that little cessna won't be taking you up to FL330 where they exist.

To tell you the truth, we don't need to fly up there because most information is at our fingertips on the web. We only have to ask the question, are the conditons right for what I am seeing?

1. check temperature
2. check humidity
3. check high altitude water vapor charts
4. check cloud ceilings
5. check flight explorer internet radar to see if the jet shows up on the screen. If it doesn't we put a ? mark by it.
6. check its duration: how long did it last?
7. take a electronic photos
8. check satellite photography for suspicious trails
9. check size: is it massive or tiny?

Finally...evaluate the evidence.

This isn't that complicated. Its probibly more complicated making BBQ's on the outdoor grill.

Yeah..
If you are ever in Austin go to "Stubbs" downtown. Pretty good place. There's a good place in 'Driftwood' south of Austin named 'Salt Lick' and over in Lockhart there's a good place too ( cant remember the name but just ask around)

The best barbeque in the state, in my opinion, is in Abilene at 'Joe Allens'. the folks at the FBO used to have a an old clunker that you could take there. It's about 3-4 miles away. Also, its in Abilene. The chemtrails are a bit less toxic there since the USAF has a base.

There's also good BBQ in Llano at 'Coopers'. They'll pick you up at the airport too if you ask nicely.

The key to good BBQ is to find a place that looks like a shanty. They have the best stuff. If the building is too fancy or glitzy with lots of neon, their BBQ most likely s*cks.
