O what a crock of sh*t. They wouldn't let me ask my question. Pressed *1 like 10 times. 3 times during the pause before B cuts out.

Yes, your correct, but even befor this board I had friends at CHQ/Mesa and the rest and tried for the best part to keep my statements towards the ones in charge not the pilots. Its all in good fun anyway, many times in thoes posts Ive noted that, look for yourself. Also, I've openly bashed my own pilot group and myself for the stupid things we've done.

Show me a pilot that has never bashed another pilot group and I'll show you a liar.

Oh man.

I cant wait to fly one of those "omnibus" they keep talking about! Thats gotta be bigger then an A320.

;)

Look at it this way...

I played Rugby in college, we'd beat the crap out of eachother during the game then after, both teams would get together and drink/party till we passed out. Not unlike what we do around here.

Bedford did a good job at hedging that bet, that's for sure. I too would like to be a mouse in the corner of JO's office watching his temper tamtrum, though no doubt he'll make a move as well.

Weird times we find ourselves in...

Yeah, maybe....

....but that is all Lear Love will pull for you, "Stick Man". Lear Love like chicks with big hair from New Jersey.

Hey, but you can always dream!

Dumbest move *EVER*. Throwing good money after bad... USA is done.

Not necessarily. Slots at LGA and DCA, plus 13 170s free and clear and the option to pick up leases on 15 more for $110 million. Plus a $125 million equity stake in U if and only if they get out of bankruptcy. And if they don't, then the 170s and the slots are RJET's to keep.

Still think it's a bad deal?

I don't agree in puting any money in Airways, but it really is not a bad move. Like Airbill said, even if they do not pull through, they will get something out of it.

Hey, I said, "Jersey girls are fun" (in ref. to my high school summers spent at the shore), nothing about big hair.

O yeah, dated one in college for 4 years, but she didn't have big hair. She dumped me when she found out after graduation how little pilots make.

I doubt the 13 170s are free and clear. Generally, an airline mortgages those planes just like a house. They recently took delivery of 3 170s where they paid Embraer $17M, and I believe they owe $12M for the remaining three to be delivered shortly. The $110M would cover the estimated $45-60M equity in the 13 170s, LGA/DCA slots, plus instant access to remainder of the fleet.

The DCA slots can be used by the 170, as commuter slots cover up to 73 seats. The LGA commuter slots are limited to smaller a/c, but I believe they may be OK for up to 70 pax if they serve small communities. UAIR/RJET have agreed to a $52M price on a buy back of the slots. If UAIR folds, then RJET can either sell them or use them.

I send my condolences in advance to you MidAtlantic, Piedmont, and PSA folk .... Just a tad bit of a feeling things are gonna get pretty rough for you guys, especially MidAtlantic ....

All right I gotta know. Just how is it gonna get rough for PSA?????? PSA already has an equity stake in this, were a WO.. ditto Piedmont.

I think this is a brilliant move by group to save a lot of money and provide incentive for the regional code shares to stick around. Plus maybe just maybe up the standards of service. But I won't hold my breath on the service.

All pilots are whores these days. Just a matter of degree.

Bedford may be regarded as a snake in the grass by labor, but he is undeniably making the $$ for wex and the shareholders. That's his job

What's in it for AWAC?

So where does this new investment by Republic leave AWAC? And what's in it for us? After our $125 million, we were next in line right after the ASTB...what are we, like third in line now?

And, how come we didn't sign some deal to do a sale-lease back on E-170s and slots...or did we and they are just playing it close to the vest? In other words what do we get for our $125 million?...Republic spelled out what they expect to get.

I mean, if you are going to pump that kind of money into a bankrupt carrier, surely there is some quid pro quo...I'm just wondering what it is.

I did see that Bombardier is making a new 110-130 seater...hmmm...
