I send my condolences in advance to you MidAtlantic, Piedmont, and PSA folk .... Just a tad bit of a feeling things are gonna get pretty rough for you guys, especially MidAtlantic ....

So the major airline which has set the standard for lowering bar on pay and work rules is being propped up by three regional carriers, all who have taken concessions, two of whom have set the standard for undercutting the progress made on contracts in 2000-1, so that the race to the bottom can continue?

Mesa/CHQ guys--your work and sacrifice is going to pay off those guys in their 50's at AAA that look down on you and blame you for the state of their retirement fund. Meanwhile, Bedford and Ornstein laugh all the way to the bank.

How f-ed up is this.

What is going to happen to the guys/gals who left PDT/ALG to go to MDA? Can they flowback, to their first company?

PSA/PDT go the boot once again!

Whiney Biotch! HA HA HA. What progress? Spineless cowards and a milktoast union erased any pseudo-progress. You Phcuk.

What proud airline do you fly for? The Cincinnatti Settlers? The Dayton Duped?

My suggestion would be for the Union folks over there to call the XJT MEC and possibly arrange pref interviews like we got fot the Indy Air guys.

A sh*t sandwich is a sh*t sandwich, but maybe we could get jobs for some of these people at XJT. It wold be better than starting over at MESA or CHQ, IMHO.

I feel for you guys. Good luck.

What is the definition of "concessions"? I must not be using my education properly...I don't remember CHQ taking a "concession" is any recent history. I think that I may may be using the word "concession" incorrectly. hmm

Now let's keep our eyes on the ball with this thread, okay.

CHQ pilots are somehow going to steal money and food from MA and USAir pilots and their families for their own personal growth...discuss.

(1 cup ingnorance, 1/2 cup misguided anger, 1/8 tsp envy, 1 gallon Jet A...add match and enjoy)

duck and cover.

bring it, part II

Those guys and gals are fighting for their lives and for their families you idiot. The J4J's have been awesome in attitude and ability. The mainliners are at wits-end with the homey's in PHL and they are still doin' a great job with limited resources.

all who have taken concessions,

What concessions did CHQ take? Ohhh, that's right, a non-strike pay increase, QOL increase, and quoshing an alter-ego are all concessions compared to what the "G4G's" have done recently in KY. That's givebacks-for-growth for those of you keeping score.

Undercutting - I already mentioned my contract so did I undercut some other time? When did I get a chance to give my input on the contracts with the carriers? Like when BB called me when he set up a fee-for-departure contract?

How f-ed up YOU ARE!

So by "having jobs" for MA employees, does that mean some type of integration, or does that mean pref hiring or what? When was MA born anyways?

So I am assuming the CEL (Combined Eligibility List) for WO's can kiss our arse goodbye if all of this is true? There goes the farm...

Pilots employed by a Participating Wholly Owned Carrier who become MDA pilots or US Airways pilots under this Attachment B may flow back to their respective Participating Wholly Owned Carriers. US Airways pilots employed by MDA, if furloughed from MDA, may displace into positions at Participating Wholly Owned Carriers in order of their seniority as US Airways pilots in accordance with the Flow through Letter of Agreement (LOA #_tbd__) to be agreed to by the Company and the Association.

Deleted... But, doesn't Mid Atlantic have the E190?

If so, that puts an E190 at a non ALPA regional. The precedent is made!

MDA has no EMB190...only the E170. I think they had options for the 190 at some point, but remember they're wholly owned, and are still wholly owned at this point.

And for the record, Mesa has absolutely nothing to do with this, and I doubt we will. We're already looked down upon enough there's no way even a bankruptcy judge would let us buy US Airways (because god knows we've got enough in the bank to take up 51% of it TODAY).

Be careful of what you wish for with Johnny O...he may just do it to piss the pilots off.

MId Atlantic is NOT WOed. They are the EMB division of US AIRWAYS. They have no certificate, as far as the FAA is concerned Mid Atlantic does not exist.

Just think about how Wex treated the SF340 guys in the fall of 2001. Bet you something similar is going to happen to MDA.

$21/hr X 75 = 1575 X 73% = $1149 after taxes, wonderful.

LOL... tax bracket isn't that high on 1500 a month... more like 80-85%. At any rate, if CHQ does end up getting stuff from MidAtlantic, I hope a J4J or something is established.

So to answer the question of who's next, one might have to ask themselves what usair has left that somebody else would want. Me thinks there is an a hole in PHX plotting for piedmont and PSA.

Coming to a press release store near you:

Mesa Air gives Us Airways a $125M equity investment similar to AW and RJET investments, in return, MAG will purchase Piedmont and PSA airlines for $???M, along with that they will purchase gates and slots in a similar leaseback fashion of the RJET deal. Mesa will also recieve an equal amount of board spots on the Us Airways BOD.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's just a bad nightmare, but you never know.

Just a guess, but I doubt JO will show his face till after the POR. If he comes in, it will be with a large investor and his own offer to the court to reorganize UAIR. The POR has been pushed back to at least 4/15/05 and could be extended to 4/30/05.

Another option would be the sale of the Shuttle. Although there are very few who could afford it at this point, JO wanted to buy some old 732's and pay RJ wages. Who knows, maybe SKYW will buy the Shuttle if DL looks shakey.

The Piedmont/PSA thing would never work as Whisky/CHAU probably have monopolized the non owned RJ feed. JO needs some place to put his a/c, and buying more a/c that would come along with a Piedmont/PSA deal wouldn't fly.
