Good luck finding a mouthpiece for the East Pilots on this forum.

C'mon Mcdoodle, don't sell yourself short! You're not a very good East "mouthpiece" but you're doing a heck of a job acting as another east orrafice.

Flew the AN2 in Budapest... paid a burned out "soviet bloc" pilot a handful on Forint and D-Marks. Pretty cool airplane. The air brake on the yoke was interesting... great perfomance.

I understand the same motor on the An2 was also on the Russian version of the DC3.

PM an email and I'll send pics....

Hey, I asked about the AN-2 on the other thread so disregard that, you answered it here.

The engine I'm guesing would be similar to a Wright R-1820. They did make DC-3's under license called Li-2's as well as a nosewheel Il-14 which they claimed as original but was very DC-3'ish. One of those sits in the infield at Reno-Stead, or did anyway.

"Real" union or not....USAPA has been accepted into CAPA and had representatives present at the recent CAPA conference.

Correction: uSAPa was accepted on an associate status only. They didn't get full membership.

I agree....MCDU make a real fine orifice for purposes of dropping a load of Usapa upon the pilots of the world.
