Idle question I just thought of because of Huggyu2 but what about required endorsements? While Huggy clearly has some experience flying a high performance, pressurised, and tail wheel equipped aircraft could he necessarily fly one through this new program?

AC560, in a nutshell, yes I can if I have it on my pilot certificate.

Example: I fly the T-38 as a military IP. On the back of my FAA pilot certificate, under Section XIII, it would say "Authorized Experimental Aircraft: NH-T38".
Now, with my FAA flight instructor certificate, I should be able to instruct in one of the privately-owned T-38's.

I was referring to the requirements of 61.31 (f) (g) (h) guess I could have been clearer. The FAA hands you a certificate but what about any additional required endorsements?

I found they use these things called a "Hand Mike" to talk on. I guess I can take my helmet off now...
Hey, T-1GUY, just a heads up; when you take your helmet off, before you fire up that 172, take a look down on the floor board and you'll see what looks like brake pedals. Well, they use these things to "steer" the airplane too, not just brakes. Try it. That's the main fun of these little things.

Obviously you don't know as much as you claim as those little pedals make excellent foot rests while flying. Perfect ergonomics I think the guy who invented them was Swedish or something...

Seriously?? Aw, you're pulling my leg...
I think I'll drive out to the FBO today and see if those things are really there.
EDIT: Drove out and looked: I see what you meant. I thought those were only for taxiing...

Had to down grade my student today... He failed to wear velcro check list on his knee.. I went inverted to prove my point... This CFI thing is easy...

Spent the day on ground instruction. Explained the importance of saluting your CFI. Also, explained importance of crew food and prompt payment for services provided. Asked student to listen to the song "Danger Zone" and write an essay on the importance of proper call signs amongst crew members (He can call me Maverick, I will refer to him as Goose)...

Billable hours 2.5 X $50 = $125 earned in just 1 hour...

Next session will cover back history of Military Pilot VS Civilian Pilot arguement...

So, what's the gouge on the 61.185(a) comp test? I'm one of those military IPs that thinks learnin is stupid. Give me the gouge so I can pass the test and head down to the FBO and start making some $$$.

My first lesson to all of my new students is that the first word out of their mouth every time they key the mike is, "Aaaannnd".
