Aaaand what's all this 'visual' and 'negative contact' crap. Someone needs to straighten them out with a 'Tally ho' or 'no joy' or two.

Maybe it's attitude. Night flights should start at 0300 with a 0100 stand up. That'll help. (Works for Mother Rucker.)

Time to give a few bucks to Shepherd and fix all that is wrong with civil aviation, one extravagantly high-paying student at a time. What could possibly go wrong?

P.S. Anybody know what P-factor is?

Who's got two thumbs and a new addition to his CFI?!

THIS GUY!!!

I used 61.73(g) to added Rotorcraft-Helicopter privileges to my CFI.

Pretty straight forward, just read and understand N8900.97 and fill out the the 8710 per the appendix. The ASI was not familiar with it but read up and had us on our way in less than an hour for both.

So, has the 'flight instructing industry' imploded yet?

Has JAFI answered any of my questions yet?

Nope x 2.....

In all seriousness how does this apply to 61.31 requirements? It would appear you need to get signed off for those still once the FAA hands you a certificate. Anyone know?

The answer to your 61.31 question is in 61.51 where it says it must be logged in "a manner acceptable to the administrator." Military flight and training records have long been considered as an acceptable manner, but I don't know where that has been written. For instance, my pile of USAF computer printouts constitutes a "logbook" as far as the FAA is concerned. A USAF form 8 (separate paper checkride form) constituted an endorsement in my 'logbook' for BFR.

Anybody know where it's been written by the administrator or administrative law judge?
